My thoughts as well. It's not so much that I'm anti-Wade, it's just that Bob knew that's who he was going to hire a few weeks ago and he went ahead and spewed more BS about doing a search and contacting any experienced candidate they could find.

Told Bob Allen he hadn't made his mind up about Kubiak. - BS
Told Bob Allen potential lockout wouldn't influence his decision. - BS
Said that they were going to do a search for DC. - BS

Dammit Bob, half of your problem is that you're lying through your teeth half the time you open your mouth.

It's there if you'd pay a little more attention and stop worrying about what smilies you are going to post next.

I can't help it that Mcclain uses Twitter like a chat room. The tweet I posted is 7 tweets and counting ago.

Miami has contacted Cowher even though Sparano hasn't been fired yet. Reportedly, the Dolphins want Mike Nolan (and maybe a few other assistants) to stay on while Cowher wants to clean house and bring in his own guys. We'll see where that goes, but if neither side budges, we may have a shot at Cowher yet again in 2012 when Kubiak fails again.

The only other name they mention is Marvin Lewis. I bet the Texans contacted him solely to throw his name out there so they could say "look, we didn't just talk to Wade" knowing full well that Lewis was negotiating to return to Cincy as HC and that he wouldn't be interested.

DD, I'm telling you: Not Any More. I had a front row seat for his act up here in Dallas. He had total control of the defense and it went downhill on overdrive. The guy is 63 years old and he looks more and more lost as time passes. This will be a major clusterf**k. They don't have the proper personnel nor the front office in place to get that personnel in one year. They just spent five years trying to implement a 4-3 and now they abruptly change course and go back to what Capers was running. This guy does not run an innovative 3-4 like Belichick, in fact he's not even in his class. This is a total joke.

See... I think (maybe it's hope? Yeah... probably hope) McNair is putting a one-year, lockout-influenced band-aid on the team. Phillips offers a plausible way to fix at least one glaring issue with the team. Roll the dice and see what happens. If they're anything less than 10-6 or the in the playoffs next year, I think (again: it's likely hope) he's going to blow the whole thing up and start over.

He's giving it a year because continuity, right now, might not be a bad thing as he doesn't want to handicap a new coach by immediately entering what could be a months-long lock-out. Plus, paying Phillips and Bush + staffs in infinitely cheaper than Cowher and Kubiak + staffs. Meanwhile, hot commodities like Cowher and Gruden are likely going to wise up and start setting their sights on 2012. And if McNair does blow it up, he'll again have his pick of a talented crop.

But that's likely way naive. Wade Phillips as the head coach... Yesh......

Maybe my page just isn't refreshing. The last tweet I see is one talking about Marvin Lewis which is from yesterday.

EDIT: I actually signed in and it refreshed.

McClain says Wade will use Mario like he used Bruce Smith in Buffalo. Bruce Smith was about 30 pounds lighter than Mario.

    ^ What Page?
Hmmm... I post smilies on the fly... I never think about them "before" I post them.

What's that John McClain twitter page you found? What you quoted isn't what's on the page, not even 7, 10, or 20 tweets ago.

Yeah, back when offensive lineman were about 60 lbs lighter on average.

Swoly and Cannonball, this is what I'm seeing. Maybe some tweets are only available to followers, I dunno...

^ Yeahhh... that might the problem I have. I can has no twitter and I don't "follow" anyone. Thank you much, sir. And, while I have stated before that I hate McClain, even if I had a twitter account, I wouldn't follow his a$$.

I hate McClain, by the way.

Good luck to our new Defensive Coordinator. I hope he does better than the last.
