I feel bad for Texans fans. Dallas D gradually got worse from the first year wade was there. His defense with Dallas was one of the worst amongst the league in creating turnovers and would get torched in the passing game. This past year his Defense with mainly the same starters from when he first got here was considered very predictable, was by far the biggest problem in Dallas, and was one of the worst defenses in the entire league.

To be fair, the Boys need some major talent upgrade on D as well.

McNair and the Texans brass must think we are morons.

Sadly, some people seem happy to help them come to that conclusion.

Well, we've tried going with young coaches with no DC experience, and that was a failure, so now we try something different. I don't have a huge problem with Wade. I would have preferred a new head coach, a new GM, and new players, but maybe we can get Wade some new players, and maybe we can improve. I don't know of any available candidate that would make everyone happy. I'm looking forward to see what we do in the draft, and to what free agents we bring in. If we don't replace half our starters on defense, I'll be disappointed.

To be realistic, we need at least 4 new starters on defense.

    FS
    CB
    DT
    LB

There should be plenty of options in the draft and FA to get this done. Anything less than that is a total travesty.

Not many are happy. I'll be happy if we land a star like Ike Taylor. This team needs to add real talent through FA and the draft.

Bob Allen is as well tied in with the Texans as any reporter in this town. I don't see him putting his name to the story unless he's 100% certain.

My guess is that Wade confirmed it with Allen, then got a slap on the wrist from McNair and the Texans brass, who want the process to continue for a couple days to give the illusion of a "search" to fans. So now he's sticking to the "I'm interviewing tomorrow" line.

The best part about all this is one of the reasons used to defend keeping Koobyak was we didn't want to switch to a 3-4 over the lockout. That was actually used as a reason not to hire Cowher.

Now we get the worst of both worlds!

Switch to a 3-4 anyway AND keep Kubz.

You're right Wade, everyone can see it. Now just tell Bob to hire you already and get it over with.

Oh well if this doesn't pan out it will be solely on McNair this next year.

Didn't Bob say that it'll take him a week to reevaluate the team, look at the personnel, and search for the best DC available...? well that was fast...!

Cry* I can already see it... Kubiak starts 1-6, they fire Kubiak and Wade is name interim coach, where he is named coach by end of season with a record of 4-12. Then boss man holds a press conference and says "Oh we are headed in the right direction..." and offers Wade a 5 yr extension to where Texans still don't reach playoffs. BAH!! Brilliant! :(

What's sad, we all going to be drinking the koolaid yet again come training camp, and thus starts the rollercoaster again of being a Houston sports fan.
