My darkest conspiracy for this is that they wont count some of the early votes . IMO win or lose wont result in rioting , but if somehow they invalidate early / drive through voting then ... thats just asking for riots. But hopefully this is much ado about nothing. If "normal" rioting breaks out i dont think it will be on the scale that local forces arent able to handle. Plus, Texans CAN be reasonable and i think theres an implicit knowledge at this point that the election may not be determined on election night . Granted , ive already heard some trump family of mine say "they've always decided the winner on election night and this year the democrats are making it so you can vote by mail 2 weeks after the election" ... but i also think talk will stay just that , talk. At the same time , as much as i trust the city of houston in particular to stay cool ... people are pissed and people are armed and about a 1/10 th of the US is on unemployment right now so we have **** all better to do . So, the Texas National Guard will send unarmed military to these polling locations? Again, for what reason? And which locations? All, or just those that the governor hopes to intimate voters with the goal of suppressing votes? How many other states are having troops sent.
