Houston . . .wear we use players like snot rags Love you for being there. . but ready to dispose of you at a heartbeat Rocket River . . . and we talk about loyalty . . bah humbug
The goal is to please fans and win championships, period. Not to appease players or prove how loyal we are to players. Pro sports is a high stakes business where players and teams have to do what's best for themselves, and sometimes there is a clash. Or, we can go back to getting too attached to players that are replaceable and handing out bad contracts guys like Moochie Norris and Matt Maloney.
He posted on spurstalk that the trade was terrible and we got nothing for him. Meanwhile, the Rockets continue to roll with Lowry at the helm and with AB continuing his sucktitude for another team.
He probably went to the Utah site as well. I have no problems going to Phoenix fan site to follow an ex-Rocket, but why go to enemy sites with no ex-Rockets. I would get bored real quick.
I thought AB would appreciate his days in Houston a little more than that. Regardless of this, I still miss the AB that owned the Lakers in the playoffs and won MIP.
Man, I've never seen a guy go from loved to hated this quickly. Honestly, I still feel bad for the guy, and obviously that was a bitter response (I probably woulda responded with something else out of spite if I was you, OP ). You can't really hate on him TOO much for it. Obviously things didn't end on the greatest terms between him and Houston.
Uh, no it wasn't. Aaron quit first. If he wanted to start, he should have played better basketball than Kyle Lowry.
I don't know why he's mad at Houston. Its not our fault he struggled so bad. Even after the trade to Phoenix, he still struggled. I mean he's acting like the Rockets are suppose to give him the starting job back even if Kyle Lowry is playing so much better than him. I mean why would the Rockets give him an extention with the way he's playing? He should know that he has to earn that extention. Or at least be a little patience and wait til the offseason to sign a nice contract. But instead, he's just kicking himself in the butt and want everyone to feel sorry for him. It doesn't matter how good he was last season. The Nba have a short term memory. If you start sucking really bad, everyone will easily forget your past success. Because of his sour attitude about not getting a contract extention, or losing his starting spot and then getting trade, his value has drop so much. If he would just suck it up and plays hard like Lowry, he would at least get a nice contract in the offseason by another team. But now the way he's acting and playing, he'll be lucky to get a decent contract. Right now, AB comes off as a selfish player that worries more about his playing time and stats than the team winning. It seems to me that he rather put his stats up first before worrying about winning. PLayers like that we don't need. A guy that worries about his stats and how much he's going to get paid instead of helping the team win is always a bad recipe to any team. Im glad that MOrey didn't give him an extention and made the right choice in signing Lowry and trading away Brooks. Its just amazing how much Lowry has progressed and how much Brooks had regressed.
Huh? This is his contract year, and he's having the worst season he's had in a while. He just had a horrible season and a frustrating one as well.
