what part of we traded Rafer away on this team and he's with Orlando now and has no significance to the Rockets.
Rafer was certainly no all star, but I do agree that he contributed alot more than Brooks on a bad shooting night. Of course it has to be noted that he had alot more bad shooting nights than Brooks in general and that is why the Rockets moved him. But when Steve Blake alone outscores both of our PG's combined and does it on 5-7 shooting while our PG's shoot 6-22 there is certainly reason for concern. My concern isn't so much focused on missed shots as it is bad defense and poor ball movement and bad decisions. Last night it was like watching a shorter version of washed up Steve Francis out there.
I hate when guys do this. Aaron Brooks is in his 2nd year but 1st year starting at the point. Mind me he his basically a rookie all over again. He's only been the starter for 2 months. There is noway he is going to be perfect. On the other hand Rafer had to go through his ups and downs also. You are comparing a veteran in Alston to a rookie basically in Brooks is not good at all. Let it go and let Brooks grow. He is going to go through his ups and down also.
Man, I really don't miss Rafer at all, but if we could have somehow been granted the right to use Rafer in last night's game instead of Brooks? Hell to the yes. Brooks was BLOODY AWFUL last night. Lowry was not so great, either. But it's only one game. In the long run, I'm happier w/ Brooks/Lowry.
