fixed The fight is due to lack of communication. One dude said some things without clarifying his thoughts, and when everyone else reacted to what he said, he was all "what the hell". Go figure.
OK this is how I think things deteriorated for you: It's because you asked if we had any information on AB/his material, and that you write material for comedy. Then when we asked why you want it, (us seeking clarification) you said to use "on stage". So of course everyone reacted negatively to what you've said thus far in the conversation - without any clarifications, you just implied you steal material from other comics. I can see why everyone got pissy about it.
AB is still the funniest comedian i've seen live. I want to say I went to see him before i was married...and that's been 9 years.
I never said i wanted to borrow his material onstage... I wanted to see some of his stuff, i was curious.... I'd use my own material if i ever happen to be on stage... Nobody even told me who the guy was until i searched him myself so how can i imply anything when the question hasn't been answered. Like i said, you guy's misunderstood me... Other people can be inspired from watching other comics... That doesn't mean stealing....
I think TheParrotIsNoMo is: I highly recommend AB's standup . I can't make it to this show... but I've seen his other ones... I wished I could go just to see the good new stuff...
I totally understand that you weren't asking to steal his stuff. It's just the way that you asked questions and made statements. It's the context clues you left everyone to interpret. That's all I was trying to say.
