I don't see Aaron Gordon ever being as good as Josh Smith. His athleticism is overrated and his NBA ceiling isn't that high IMO.

He will be closer to Corey Brewer than Josh Smith.

He doesn't have the shooting to be a 3 and isn't big enough to bang with 4s. Just like J-Smoove.

Good comparison, but Gordon seems to have an astronomically higher basketball I.Q. than Smith.

    lol.

you also said kevin love's ceiling wasn't high either, even after (or during) his rookie year.

I think his best case scenario is Shawn Marion, but I personally am not very high on him.

He reminds me of Derrick Williams.

He is very marion like, and what I always compared him to. He's got that fast twitch, herky-jerky movement. His jumper is ugly and can be erratic but he definitely got a little better throughout the year. He should have stayed because I would have loved to see him round out his game more.

He is a fairly smart player (he understands the offense and players movements), although he does do stupid things at times, like jack up ill-timed shots.

Other than being a wildcat and probably being overvalued, I don't see how. Derrick was an extremely skilled player.

Their personalities are far different though, and Aaron Gordon's defense will be superior to Josh Smith's. Aaron Gordon will make all Defensive teams, but his offense will most likely always be a liability with some occasional slashing to the rim for an easy dunk.

Gordon does not have a broken Jumper. Please. Look at his tape, his jumper is very workable and he has good form.

Broken is too harsh. But he certainly doesn't have a natural shooters touch. It will take a lot of time to polish and I think doing so for another year in college would have been better than learning on the fly in the pros.

Gordon may very well be available at #10. I know many people here are Parsons enthusiasts, but would you consider Parsons for #10 to draft Gordon?

-Personally, I wouldn't be in favor of it, nor would I be against it. More so neutral, only because I know Parsons is going to be paid somewhere around 10+ million, which I don't think he's worth.

Measured at 6' 7.5" without shoes at the combine.

Too small and not physical enough to play PF in the NBA.

Didn't know he measured that short. He is a lean build and I do think sf is his best spot, but he doesn't mind getting in there and getting scrappy so i think he could steal some minutes at PF
