and nowhere in my post was I saying we struck gold with Dragic. I meant look where Brooks is, and look what we have. Id rather have Dragic anyday.
Okay. I guess Dragon isn't having overt emotional problems like poor Aaron was, but man oh man, I'd almost rather have the roster spot open right now than have either of them. Maybe Dragon will improve as the season goes.
Dont forget about the last week of last season when Dragon nearly averaged a triple double. Dragic is just one of those players that needs playing time to get it going. He's still a good scoring PG, its just that he really hasnt hit his stride yet and hasnt had much PT at all. Also Dragic's minutes have come in a "preseason roster" type of gameplay with the bench players trying to get their points. Dragic +/- would reflect much better with the starting unit. I can guarantee that. If Lowry goes down with an injury, Dragic is a good option to play a good 35+ min a game and hold down the point very well as he did last season. Dont think of Dragic as the bench PG as much as you should think of him as Lowry insurance. Coming off the bench he isnt going to blow you away.
Some highlights for those who haven't seen him play in China: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6G9gW6wtn_U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PlD4eSWXkfY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
