Umm isn't it his role to shoot the ball? I thought everyone knew that when we drafted him he was nothing more then a speedfreak SG in a midgets body. Theres a reason why Adelman plays him along with Rafer and Barry a lot, hes not a PG and probably never will be one.

That being said he has been sucking some major ass. One of the recent games, Worrel said that Brooks has been in a major 3 point slump and that even his attempts at shoot around the pregame warm up were way off. He going to need to either drive it more to the hoop and let the 3 point shots come to him or just shoot through the slump.

You know we're in trouble when the haters point their blaming sticks to Aaron Brooks.

I'll go back to my original contention: The Rockets made a huge mistake coming into the season with Rafer and AB as their PG combo. Weak starter with a weak backup. They must move one or both guys in a package to get a decent starter.

i like how everyone says brooks is terrible after a slump.

weren't people so crazy about him when he was knocking down his shots?

so much overreaction to success and failure.

I agree. And what happens if Rafer has his recurrent hamstring problem? Is it Luther Head to the rescue?

I have no problem with him shooting the ball through the course of the game but if he's not hitting it in the 1st-3rd quarter I wish that he wouldn't be chucking him up in the last minute. I want the ball in Tracy Mcgrady's hands. I trust the ball in T-macs hands far far far far far far more in clutch time.

I don't care if brooks will never be a playmaker but for rox sakes he has to efing realize that he's not the best option at the end of the game and who in the league can nail a 3 coming off a full tilt sprint like that consistently, especially if they were a junk show all night. Someone has to smack him around a little for him to realize. Please put the ball in Mr.Mcgrady's hands, we saw him limp tonight and have problems, guess what next posession he took it to the hole. We need to feed him when he wants to do that. Brooks needs to learn how to recognize situations.

theres a big difference in how he was playing when he started for rafer than when he is playing alongside rafer.

his role changes thus his confidence gets shaken because of the uncertainty.

another point could be the possiblity that when he started the season on fire, he was actually playing for a role in the rotation whereas once rick told him to be more aggressive, he quit playing with the same intensity....

or maybe teams have started to watch film and have adjusted appropriately

AB is better on the ball then off it.....I agree he should no longer be playing SG.......he needs to penetrate and dish, that is his thing.

Once the team starts playing better as a whole, Brooks will find his jumper.

no way, there was definitely a "i hate rafer alston and love aaron brooks" group of people, and you had another "rafer may not be the answer, but aaron brooks certainly isnt as a starting PG....

Rafer was shooting 16/61 (26%) in the last 6 games.

We have the worst Pg combo. no one can come close.

it's not that my friend, it's the terrible thought that this isn't a "slump", but rather Brooks' regular form, and the beginning of the season was just a "hot streak", something I believed all along but the over reactors that u talk of hailed him as the second coming of Allen Iverson..

despite all of this, I'd still take him over Rafer.. I hate Brooks selfishness, but then I remember how many prayers Rafer throws up, so I go back to being content with Brooks since he holds the advantage of Rafer of his shots having a CHANCE to go in..

I said it before the season started and I'll say it again. We need a point guard that focuses on assist's and creating oppurtunities for our scorers. We have many players that can shoot and score, we need someone that can feed the ball and shoot high percentage shots when open. Only a few point guards out there that can do that but it would be worth checking into. Nash, Bibby, Calderon, and Billups all come to mind. Of course most of those guys are not available but there are some deals to be had if we can unload a few guys we might be able to score one.

AB has really stunk it up of late ... I completely agree. One thing I can't figure out is why AB and Airballston are on the court at the same time. Seems like a recipe for disaster.
