we have assets. luther can be moved as can snyder. spanoulis may be attractive to someone. rafer doesn't have great value but he's not a bad player. another option involves using one of the above players combined with our most tradeable asset, battier to get a pf. we can then use the mle to replace shane with another 2 or 3. or we can use the mle on a 4 and keep shane. there's moves we can make.
Rick is known for having a very deep roation, which is good when you have injury prone players like Yao and T-Mac. I think the summer league will help show who will be the second and third guard off the bench. We are obviously trying to trade some players away. I think the best bet is to assume it's the guys who didn't preform in the playoffs, so Head and Alston are hopefully being shopped around Right now I see our guard roation as follows: MJ / V-Span? / Brooks Tmac / Bonzi If V-Span doesnt play in the summer games, then I don't think he will be on the roster. If he does, I think he has a chance to become the first player off the bench. We need all the slashers and players who can create their own shot as we can.
Also, all we need from the point is someone who can pass the ball to Yao or Tmac, can hit an open three (which we can see from the 3-pt contest that he can get on a role), and can keep up with the Tony's and Nash's of the league. In the playoffs, we are going to need fast players to throw at other teams PG's. V-Span and Brooks look to be tough gutsy players in that regard. If we trade for a PF, I think that this pick will look great. Otherwise, I will be upset that we didnt go for Davis or Josh.
