I am from CHINA. I do not hate AB ! AB has a big heart, has a good shoot, I like him! But AB is not a good PG, I'd better to watch AB as a 6th on the court, just like Jason, Manu, and so on.

BTW, I am sorry for my poor English.

    dumb comparison.

BUT aaron brooks has fulfilled his role beyond what any rocket fan can ask for: SCORE and provide offense.

if this was any other playoff year, he would have been the next sam cassell for god sakes (but too bad yao and artest ain't pulling their weight so far). i've seen too many bricks by rafer and head and others in the past to criticize brooks.

brooks has done his part. keep doin yo thing AB.

The poster is just saying Brooks has done better than Paul in the playoffs and that he doesn't deserve the hate. I don't think hes necessarily saying Brooks is better.

And, Brooks has done well. I think he'll be a great point guard and theres too much hate. Sure, hes not the best, but hes getting the job done and I take him over Rafer. I think he'll continue to get better. Plus we got Lowry too.

Well, AB got a good shooting center in the league and CP3 don't! Stll CP3 over AB by a small margin. But next year will be a different story!

dude, let me tell you why so many people think you are wrong. Brooks and CP3 were not in the same situation. CP3 has been definitely focused by opponent defense, so his situation to score was much harder than Brooks while he put lots of effort to organize the offense. CP3's product is way more than Brooks.

Brooks had Yao who attracted 2 big guys around him, this situation widened the space for Brooks to drive and shoot. AND, except score, Brooks did nothing else to help team. how many assistance he got as a PG?? what about the last few minutes his performance?? what about his defense???

brooks so far in the playoffs has been very consistent scorer and has been doing good while he has been playing. he should get more props for playing so well while its his first time as a starting point guard in an nba play off series.

i bet in todays game he will do good again and even hit the clutch shot if it comes down to it.

CP3 doesn't have good teammates like AB has.

Based on this year's playoff numbers:

    Brian Cook > Tracy McGrady

I like how people think that if we had a different point guard, we could magically eliminate the fronting problem and Yao would be able to have the ball wherever and whenever he wants. It is not a point guard issue, it is a Yao issue. The only solution is to capitalize on the fronting by utilizing role players and AB is a perfect candidate for that.

Aaron Brooks is playing great, especially for being so young, and he is only going to get better. He deserves time to get better and in my opinion is doing great so far. He has a high celing, especially if he can start working a pick and roll play with one of the power forwards like Duncan/Parker do.
