So random, I thought about this guy just the other day after the Wood signing! My mother showed up somewhere wearing her Brooks jersey, lol. AB had more proven talent than Wood has (winning most improved player), but until guys have “arrived” mentally and physically, I think there’s always a chance they can fall off. Anyone who has been around was able to see that one bad ankle roll changed the course of AB’s career. He was on his way to being a perennial all-star, but hadn’t “arrived” yet. We need Wood to establish himself quick and earn some possible all-star recommendations. With players like him, it’s all a confidence game. Hopefully he just continues in stride this season!
Man, I’ll never forget when ab had that near all star level run. Love that guy. 2009-10: 40% 3fg, 20ppg, could finish unbelievably well for his size, and always got hammered on drives.
I guess as times passes; I tend to remember the good stuff more. Aaron starting, Kyle back up. We had one of the fastest back court. Aaron for his small body was bombing from long range.
AB was a beast. I loved how he played relentless & never quit like our current superstars. Will never forget that dirty azz play Ginobli pulled and set his career back. Punk azz
