Jonathan_Feigen Clearly angry w/ ABrooks' Sat. snit, Rick Adelman unsure if AB will remain in rotation. “I can’t answer that. I’ll be talking to him tom.”
as much as I wish AB would perform like last year, this is a blessing in disguise, and hopefully a humbling event for brooks. Not sure if he will remain with the organization, but he really needs to mature and get his act together. As a third year player, there is no excuse for this behavior. He has a great skill set to be a good rotation player, whether it be from the bench or as a starter. Whatever happens to him, hope he goes on and learns from this. If not, then he has nobody to blame but himself.
couldnt agree more! A package of brooks, hill, budinger, patterson , a draft pick should be enough to get something decent in return? I don't think we have to trade our core 5: scola , hayes, lowry, battier, and martin. We just need another scorer that can put up similar ppg that brooks can, but not brooks. Then add to that a shot blocker paint protector like javale mcgee or deandre jordan, ibaka type. I think that is enough to win a championship. A few other bench guys would be nice but imagine a gerald wallace or zach randolph? So most of the points come from martin and then a randolph or wallace .. a shot blocker to plug the middle..scola for offense and hayes for more defense...and lowry to run the point and bulldog people around battier is still there to glue it all and cover the tough assignments like kobe or durant. That's a solid team.
Adding a scorer and a defensive center makes us a playoff team, but we still wouldn't be a serious contender for the championship.
so take away brooks budinger patterson add deandre jordan and zach randolph to our current squad. You don't think that's enough to win it all? I do.
Depends on how well the defensive center plays. If he can D up like Yao then yes we would be a contender.
Alan Hahn is reporting the Knicks have interest in Brooks. Article says Kelenna Azubuike and his contract are possible trade parts. I dunno if this has been reported on this board or not, but man, Brooks' value has plummeted.
why are you so obsessed with him? Hes not posting here and gives you no reason to center your life with his internet practices. He stated the reason he doesn't like posting here is the lack of substance manny people on here carry regarding basketball and the favoritism that clouds everyone's judgement. I agree with him on that completely, any second I try to say something not Anti - Brooks, its a barage of insults and immature comments starting from you made C's in a community college, I have all As with a math degree, "You know no basketballs" or some stupid crap. The level of intelligence and maturity has seemed to take a nose dive. I applaud the members on here who make rational discussions possible and make us forget the assholes.

Lol, very true. We'll see soon if AB can truly man up and perform in the role that he's given instead of sulking at what he believes he deserves. Maybe he'll start playing alot better and increase his trade value for us
Love AB.. I have hated his play all year long and his attitude. I hope he bounces back. Good decision making AB: Can make this Rockets team better in a hurry. Bad decision making AB: Is just going to get traded or sit on the bench. Let's hope that he forgets everything contract, his starting job, etc. and just play basketball. His play needs to start talking, not his talking or actions.
franblinebury Rick Adelman: "(Brooks) made a mistake. Told him now everybody thinks we're gonna trade you. That's not gonna happen."
I don't want want him to get traded as many wants him to, but I do expect him to makes some changes: 1. Accept that he is not the first option of the team 2. Don't worry about contract, just play your best and I bet you will get a good one by the end of the year. Nobody would like to let go a good player. 3. Also be a team player, if coach wants you to play off the bench right now, then play. Meet coach's expectation and you will be winner in the long run.
Let's go AB!!! I don't wanna see you leave, you made a mistake and that's ok. It's all over now and it's time to make the push for the playoffs!
Everybody is entitled to a second chance and Aaron Brooks has more than earned that with his play over the years for the Rockets. I am glad he is contrite and I hope he stays on the team and reverts to form.
Jonathan_Feigen Brooks returns to usual spot in rotation. And he's fresh More 4-12, 5-15 nights on the way!
