Basically I called my wife when I was driving to the TC to check if Lance had emailed again ... he had so she read it to me and then I called Jeff. This is what the email says. I've been fairly buried here since being back (splashtown yesterday, then daugher's b-day party this morning with family in town ... always seems to get busy around draft time )
Good Rashard info. Good to see we are looking into it. The problem is trying to match salary. We could start with Battier who has decent talent and is at 6M. But then we have to probably get to 12M. Maybe that's where the Sura 4M contract comes in? Maybe then include Head? The Sonics in my opinion WOULD be interested in Battier. We have heard that Presti wants to reshape that team with defense like the Spurs. Durant is their offense and getting Green helps them defensively. I am sure Presti would love Battier on that roster. BTW, it sounds like the Sonics are planning on playing Green at PF which is interesting. Maybe not full time, but that would put Durant at SF and they could use Collison/Wilcox at C. Very athletic front line. The Sonics also have to decide what they are going to do at PG. They have Ridnour, Watson and now West. One of those guys is probably on the move.
