I'm thinking they'll keep Ish on the bench, shift Lee to PG in the second unit, run Williams at the 2 and Bud at the 3.
I dont think he is trade bait but I do think he is tradeable. But Right now, i think it really is his injury and finding more PT for other players IE: Williams. IF Williams is trade bait he needs to play to show it. But there will be a time when the rockets will need to address our lack of size at the point. I am not sure when that will be.
I told you he was limping around and he should get more treatments on his ankle instead of playing. You on the other hand wanted him to play through and get his timing back.
So Lee will come in for Lowry, and Williams for Martin? Both of them can handle the ball, and Williams is a better passer of the two. Two things if Williams doesn't get playing time tonight: Either something is seriously wrong with Adelman or Out of respect to the Nets, Williams is sill on punishment.
I think any of the players could get moved. Of course, but clearly Mills is a bad matchup while he is injured so it is smart to sit him out this game. DD
Lol I'm not understanding... Are you responding to my post? Or creatively thought of that yourself? If there are more players of Williams caliber in the NBDL please send a lil tweet to Morey so he can pick em up ASAP.
I agree that he is tradeable but thats not the point. Just because the Rockets might want to move him doesn't mean they can get anything back in return of equal or greater value. This might be the worst possible time in his career to be traded and his stock couldnt possibly be lower due to the fact that he will be a restricted free agent in the summer, the team that gives up assets for him might not even be able to resign him, he is currently injured, his performance is down, and his contract is too small be worthwhile as an expiring. The only teams I could think of being interested would be contending teams in need of scoring at the point. Then again what do those teams have that they would be willing to give the Rockets in return that would be worth trading an all-star calliber point guard when healthy? Teams like the Lakers, Spurs, Heat, Celtics, etc. are not willing to give up contributing players and most likely arent stocked with young talent.
Responding from an earlier post... I believe he is in trade discussions, and should be. Rockets got Williams without having to give up any players...anybody in the rockets organization would he fools not to realize Williams could easily replace Brooks' production. Better playmaker, rebounder, passer, size etc.... Doesn't Brooks have the same agent as Lebron and nym? Negotiations for his salary would be hell. Kings, Indiana has money to spend...
