Aaron Brooks needs to bulk up

Brooks really needs the pull-up jumper far more than bulk if he wants to have a long career. The real problem he has is that he's very effective in getting past his man, and shooting when they give him space from a static position out to ridiculous distances. The problem, particularly in end of game situations, is that he has no in between game that is not predicated on breaking down his man. Much like Franchise, he can generate a midrange jumpshot off his crossover, or on the step-back. When he has only ~3 seconds though, he can't set up his man, and must go for the running floater-hook, or layup.

I've never played basketball on a high enough level to tell whether this is possible, however. It could be that Aaron simply isn't capable of generating enough space off the hard stop to get his jump-shot off capably, or his mechanics don't lend themselves to making this a viable part of his arsenal.

In the argument of bulking up while retaining shooting touch; it is definitely possible, though I would question whether it would also be possible to add moves at the same time. I have little doubt that you can keep the same form and touch while bulking, but while also adding in a new facet of the game? Even Yao made his game far more mechanical when he started increasing his strength; still effective, but not nearly as creative. If he can't do it, I'd be very skeptical of anyone else doing it.
