+1. AB will be the second pg off the bench by the all star break. By the beginning of next season he will be the starting pg. Book it! :D

He doesn't come across as anything more than JL3. The only reason he would be the second point guard off the bench is because there isn't competition. Bobby Jackson's is showing his age having good games and bad, Steve Francis may never even see the court again. AB is not going to ever be all star or great. He might be good enough to come off the bench as combo guard but, he surely won't lead us to the promised land.

Moochie ran a game on the Rockets for millions, a church league player's dream come true. Brooks has real potential. He played very "tight" the first year. If he can learn to relax and just play basketball, he will be a serious contributor. With Rafer in front of him he should be highly motivated, and very hopeful.

Brooks is fun to watch and all but no amount of wishful thinking will ever change the fact that at 5'8'' he's simply too slight of frame (read small) to be the answer at PG for the Rockets. I see him as maybe becoming a good bench player in time but that's about it. But it's really being unnecessarily mean to compare him to Moochie Norris.

You know, you are right. Moochie is in a class by himself and perfectly nicknamed.

well aaron brooks was ranked number one by nbadraft.net by non rookie lise

    Aaron Brooks 16.8 pts/ 7 ast/ 2 rebs

Displaying the quickness and mentality necessary to run an NBA team, Brooks was impressive throughout the summer league. His size has always been an issue, but an explosive 1st step combined with his ability to effectively attack pick and roll situations could be more than enough to make up for it. What may end up being a determining factor for his future is his ability to keep the defense honest by consistently knocking down outside shots.

I think AB disproved the "jl3 part 2" theory early last year. If you are still comparing him to JL3 I guess you didnt watch much raptor summer league ball....

because of his size i dont think he can be a starting pg for any above average team. he can be one for a lottery team but if hes on a good team hes going to be a backup

cough cough..t.j. ford......cough cough. not being a jerk, just giving you an example of a similar sized starting point guard i would love to have. all aaron needs is to learn how to better set up his offense, play that quick d hes capable of and hit the mid range jumper after he breaks down his defender, along with the occasional open look from 3. just hope he doesnt get destroyed physically every game like ford.
