don't know what to expect from AB for game 3...i think his performance may not be as good since it'll be his first playoff go in a hostile UTAH court.

but like i called it, AB is killing the jazz slowly and should be doing it for years to come.

Yeah, I didn't get it either... In a close game, a Brooks blow-by layup could be the difference. Plus, Brooks is learning how to make good decisions when he reaches that point in and around the paint where he either has to pass or shoot, reading the D.

If BJackson really needs to be reinserted in the game, dont' take out Brooks!

There seems to be agreement on the GARM that Brooks should start. A turn of events from a few days ago; but we've all seen it in the game: the guy can blow by his defender and finish layups, something that only TMac occasionally does, and no one else on the Rockets seems capable of doing. I saw clear out the side for Brooks and let him get by his guy; that should be the offense at this point. Everything else is a struggle. You'd think Adelman would watch a video and see 'Brooks in for the easy score'... 'Brooks in for the easy score'... and decide to go with Brooks.

He might foul out, but at least he'd give us about 18 points and 9 assists if he played heavy minutes. At this point, matching Utah's point-guard production is a must. BJ should be coming off the bench.

It doesn't matter who starts the game... we just can't be playing Bobby 30 minutes.

I seriously like Bobby a lot. He's a gritty, tough, experienced player. But he's also 35, and his effectiveness drops drastically if he plays big minutes at this age.

I'd bring Jackson off the bench because he's more comfortable in that role, and probably more effective.

Brooks, a guy that can consistenly beat his guy off the dribble, I'd want in the game as much as possible.

we need his perimeter shooting too...that's something rafer has...

if he wants to get more PT...he needs to do both, then maybe the jazz will worry

wasn't he like a 3pt champ in college?? and like the rookie mvp of the summer league??

Actually it does make sense to start him. Not only will he let Bobby come off the bench but he'll seduce Deron into posting him up early in the game. If Deron falls into this trap, then that will not allow the Jazz to get in a rhythm offensively as a team. It's not like Bobby was doing anything Brooks can't do while starting.

Actually Morey said, Brook have give him the most problem, and every time Brooks get in, Sloan right away bring Price in to match up to him. He is to quick for Deron.

I hope brooks sees some time tomorrow night. Rafer back or not.

His speed kills the jazz. I like it when he's driving to the basket. He has a good shot it's just not falling right now.

    Come on Brooks!!!

I can't believe alot of you guys say Brooks won't become a starting PG. IMO, he could become like Caron Butler style growth. Not all that known, but very effective. Not exactly all-star worthy, but is very important to the team.

Brooks could become an all-star, we never know. Remember when Manu Ginobli first came in? He was one of the last draft picks, but he look what player he became. Also, T-mac and Kobe weren't exactly appreciated of being amazing when they were first drafted. But look what sorta player they became. Lakers stole Kobe. Magic was lucky to get T-mac.

This is only brooks first year. This guy can catch an alley oop dunk, and he has a solid jumpshot and tear drop. Rookies hardly perform well in their first year in playoffs.

We just need to see what philosophy RA applies to brook next year. I think he will remain a back-up. But steve francis could very well become T-mac's backup as well.

Sorry but if IFs and Buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Look, I really like Brooks' speed and game but I have to be realistic here and I feel that his lack of size and strength will be the biggest reasons why he won't become a starting NBA PG. Now when he came into the league, I was skeptical about him being an undersized SG moving over to the point but he looks like he could play some minutes off your bench as the backup PG. But to ask him to be the starter in the Western Conference against the PGs there is asking a bit much of the kid.

It's really unfair - with a few more inches of height, this kid would probably be the long term answer here at the point. The PG position in our own conference just got brutal with CP3 & Parker (who's only 25) just reaching their prime. Only Dallas is looking really shaky as they went out and got a PG who's nearing the end of the line (thank you Mark Cuban). BTW, it's way past time to lay the SF3 ghost to rest as his time has come and gone.

Funny how you think Brooks is just too short but those 2 guys you just mentioned are about ONE inch bigger than him.

Calvin Murphy would be ashamed of you......

Dude has quick feet. He has some moves. He can take it to the hoop strong. He can't finish consistently. Some games on some off. Right now more games off. When he gets some better consistency and improves his shooting he'll get more minutes.

He's definitely more useful than Head at this point.

One inch TALLER than him but those two are much more stronger than Brooks. I'm still amazed at how many points in the paint that Parker scores.

Yes, and Brooks is skinny but he is a young kid...he will fill out too....just look at Yao and the pictures from his rookie year to now.

Everyone fills out, Brooks will probably add 10 to 20 pounds of muscle...which will put him around 190ish....which is not big, but with his quickness may be big enough.

Remember, he will always have a leverage advantage.
