Bench players are generally worse offensively than the starters. Therefore, a bad defender's defense can be masked (to a certain extent) by coming off the bench since he has to guard a lesser offensive player.

It's about combination. The defensive liability of AB/Lee is not as much as AB/Martin. AB/Lee will have both offense and defense, Martin/Lowry will have both offense and defense, AB/Martin only has offense.

Last year AB fit the starting lineup better because there was no offensive threats like Martin on perimeter and there was no defensive liabilities like Martin on perimeter. This year it's different. The addition of Martin changed the big picture.

I'm not sure why you feel like you need to be disrespectful to me because I have a different opinion than you. Don't worry about though, I will just put you on ignore.

Bottom line is adelman has said brooks is his starter. This is a direct contradiction to what the Lowry brigade believes to be true. We can throw out wild theories like adelman is loyal to his starters (ask McGrady and hardaway about that BTW), but that is just grasping at straws. It's in adelmans best interest to put the best mix out there to win.

No matter who is the better PG or who is the better shooter, Brooks fits better with the starters and Lowry with bench.

You have no proof of this until we see Brooks run with the bench brigade. And don't forget, Rafer was the starter here until the day he was traded even though some of us could see that Brooks was clearly better with the starters.

He doesn't use proof or reasoning in his opinions. Looks at his last statement:

    He's clearly an idiot.

Like most AB fanboys, his proof is "Well... I don't need to see AB off the bench, because RA believes that he should start so I must be correct." Never mind that RA traditionally is pretty stubborn about lineup changes or changes in general. He does not appear to be very flexible.

Brooks needs shots. He will not get that many shots with Martin and Scola in the starting line-up. On the bench, where his scoring is needed, he would definitely get those shots. Ecspecially with facilitators like Brad and Terrence.

    Okay friends.

I see we have moved away from peaceful debate and into personal insults.

My apologies to anyone who may have been offended by the things I have said.

I guess we can only wait and see who is right and who is wrong.
