Blessing in disguise??? We are down to one f**king PG and that's all some of you f**kers can think about?
Damn, you're sensitize when it's your boy. Funny, you didn't seem this way when you were joking about Lowry's weight and how he could get injured because of it just a few weeks ago. I'm not happy about this but I wouldn't be surprised if the team is better for it (at least in the short run). AB takes shots away from guys who are all more efficient scorers than he is (Yao, Scola, Martin). He thinks he is first option when he is really a third or fourth one. Couple that with what might be the league's worst defense at the PG position and it's hard not to see some positives in this. The defense automatically just got better. Martin, Yao and Scola probably just got a few more shots a piece each night. Maybe the team can develop some chemistry and a defensive identity now and let him try to fit back in when he returns instead of vice versa.
Not pleased with this injury at all. While I would like AB not to start with KM, I did not wish for an injury at all. Our back court is now decimated... On the flip side, at least Ish is holding it down pretty well as a rookie and the Rockets finally started to play as a unit. Watch us play JT to "showcase" him, unless RA slides Battier to the 2. While it sucks that AB is down (with KM also down, we got no scorers left but Scola) this may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, especially if our D drastically improves (scoring 40 every night is nice and all, but getting burned for 40 sucks) and make it clear to RA and DM that one of the two players needs to be delegated to the role of spark plug off the bench. It will also allow or rather force us to develop Ish since both Lowry and AB are now down.
Just ignore DD. He has a hard on for scrubs and role players and will lash out on a personal level if you talk honestly about him. In his mind, VSpan could have been the next MJ, CBud is the next Larry Bird, and AB is a future star.
Correct, no contract for Yao. As I see it, we actually we have too much spacing in the starting lineup if Battier is in it. Battier was much more active when Brooks went out. I think a starting lineup with Lowry in it would have enough spacing in it with either Battier or Budinger at SF. Yao isn't the focal point of the offense anymore. It's a team game, and I could care less who is scoring the points as long as we can score enough.
did anyone think that it was a cheapshot..? seriously why the hell on earth was he trying to take charge with 1.6 left, Ginobili wasn't even trying to challenge the shot.
What a horrible and incorrect post this is, nothing you said about me was even remotely true. Jeez, if you are gonna slam someone, try to at least be truthful. But go ahead and ignore me, that is better for the GARM. He has gained weight but I made no joke about him getting injured, you are combining what other posters said with what I said. DD
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=193811&page=2&pp=20 I think that's what he's referring to.
Hmmmm, could be I guess......I stand corrected.... Not even remotely on the same level, but I could see where it was construed that way. DD
when he get's better we ought to play him max 25 minutes a game. This way we can save him for the playoffs and he can be in sync with Yao.
It's not okay to treat players like assets! Unless his name is McGrady, in that case he deserves it. It's not okay to joke about players' injuries! Unless his name is Lowry, in that case it's all in good fun. It's not fair to blame the losses on one guy! Unless his name is McGrady, in that case he deserves it. It's fair to blame the losses due to RA! It can't be anyone else's fault but RA that our players cannot play defense! We aren't losing games because we suck! We lose games because Yao is capped at 24 minutes! It has to be!
i had a level 2 sprained ankle back in July and i still feel a slight pain on it... i cant jump the same.. and i wasnt crying when it happened so my guess is Brooks injury was much wrose .. thankfully he has better medical attention then i do so lets hope
This is what i was saying. Nobody wants Brooks to get hurt. We are just looking at it from a positive side, instead of being down and giving up on the team just because one of the stars went down. It was obvious before all of this happned that we were experiencing chemistry problems. Now Ish has a chance to help his team win. If he can help pull out a win, it would be great. I hav made it no secret that i would like Lowry to start, but not this . Not like this.
There is no positive side to anyone on the Rockets being hurt. The positive side is where the team is healthy and able to work through this mess. If someone is good enough to unseat or beat out Brooks, let it happen. Injuries and cheering for them, or thinking there is something positive to come out of them, is weaksauce.... DD
