There was a play, in which Rose powered all the way under the basket with Brooks guarding him, then Brooks clearly slapped on Rose' arm but Rose still got an and-1.

Just pathetic. And Rose is just a poor man's Daron Williams.

That is what I am afraid it will happen. Therefore, we will need someone else to take control of the ball when the game is on the line. Brooks is no Alston.

He will get better as the season winds down. This is good on the job training in being a starter. AB will get it going.

Before the game started, in the game thread, I was about to post this, but then I decided against this because I thought I was going to get burned for it:

If the Magic beat the Sixers, Rockets will lose to the Bulls.
If the Magic lose to the Sixers, Rockets will beat the Bulls.

I figured that it would be an improbability that there would be two upsets in one night, and because the Magic were losing the whole game, I figured the Rockets had their game the bag. Then the Magic made a run and outscored the Sixers by 15 points in the 4th to win, and the Bulls made a run and outscored the Rockets by 20 points to win.

    Ain't that a b***.

Aaron Brooks is just too inconsistent. The ability to shoot and score, which

is supposed to be his best quality has shown itself consistently all season.

He averages 10.4 pts/game, but the variability (standard deviation) in his

scoring from game to game is 6.3 pts. This means that in one game he might

score 61% more than his average, but he might also score 61% less.

I am sure the team as a whole is mad at this loss..Artest was at the end.

But there are a combination of problems at the end...can't single out just one individual.

Brooks got killed by Rose, Adelman failed to rest the players properly so some of the players in the game were tired...Scola missing shot and i think he was tired. Yao getting fronted and they can't find him at all, Artest want to be the hero by chucking up 3s, Adelman failed to use Lowry to replace Brooks. All of these contribute to the loss.

what worries me is not his expierence. AB is just like smaller AI. He doesn't know how to pass and dribbles too much, he is just not the smart PG we need.I think he can be a good backup. Starter? no .

The point guard has the ball, and controls the game. When your team can not score a filed goal for the six min, then you need look at your face.

Here he is being pressed into the starting PG spot, and having to assume more PG responsibility during his second year in the league. Could it be that it is too soon for him?

Magic Johnson didn't assume full PG responsibility with the Lakers until he was at the start of his fifth year in the league, this after the Lakers traded Norm Nixon to the Clippers during the 1983 offseason.

cause he's not a pass first PG......the epitome of aaron brooks was the last game vs cleveland, right before the half, rockets had the ball for the last shot, he ends up doing a pick and roll with yao with like 3 second left and doesnt even get a shot off.....the man cannot run point, he's a good scoring pg, but that aint enough

that why when rafer was pg, he'd wave artest to freaking go away......while aaron brooks doesnt know what he's doing, so he just let him have it.

If you take a look at this team, and have at least half a brain...

...you simply must come to the conclusion that we were unable to complete some sort of transaction prior to the trade deadline. That is, of course, if you think our FO has at least half a brain. There is simply no way this team can legitimately be expected to go deep into the playoffs with our backcourt situation(s).

I'm afraid of them permanently screwing AB's head by throwing too much at him too soon. I think he'd otherwise develop into a very nice PG, but with the way the Rockets are doing things, he's under FAR too much pressure to succeed.

AB should not be our starter. No one on our team should be our starter. Where is our starter? I tell ya where he is, he's on another team because a deal wasn't finished. In my opinion, you can only blame the FO for this.

Dang it AB...10-2 as a starter is not going to get it done.

Come on .this is the first season for Rose . It is too soon for Rose???Most of the time , if he have the quality.we can see it when he is on court. I have been watching AB for a year. I would say ,he is fast ,he can shoot, his layups are amazing but he dribbles too much .his passes is terrible.he doesnt have a clear head as Starting PG.Although he can be a good backup
