eh...don't get it wrong, Brooks is on his 2nd year, put to the starter's role recently and was a late 1st round draft pick.

Rose is the 1st draft pick and has been playing to win the ROY.

that said, Brooks did suck hard during the last 2 games. it's just after last game's win against the Cavs, everybody is hyped about our lock down D on LBJ but no one noticed his poor performance. Oh well, actually Cav's PG also scored a lot against him...

It's absolutely unfair to blame all on Brooks today.

What today happened is a great example of Ron Artest biggest weakness. He thinks he's a superstar, he made 30 points and thought could make 40 and win the game by himself. He can't.

Adelman called some timeouts to run a good offense against this front-defense against Yao, but EVERY TIME the ball came to Artest, he broke everything and wanted to hit the shot and be the heroe.

This guy probably will ask for $11-14 millions this summer. I absolutely don't give that money to a player who can't accept his role in NBA at 30 years old.

Blame Adelman and Ron for this, not only Aaron.

If I remember correctly, these 4th quarter meltdowns happened when we had Rafer. I don't think its completely Brooks fault we couldn't score anything in last 5 minutes.

    Now we need TMac... :D

That should never happen if Adelman made adjustments on both sides down the stretch... I think it was late already when he made the change...

This wasn't even Brooks' fault, Rose was all over him, he's a future hallf of famer and he's shown he can tear things up when he wants to. If ron hits one of those threes and we pull it out, this thread would have never appeared.

That was because Tmac was also playing. Rafer playing with this current lineup never blown such a huge lead.

I'll give AB a pass on tonight only because he's still a rookie as a starting PG.. But man did he get handled tonight. When your not hitting J's just attack the basket and pass if you can't get an easy layup.

Lowry should be the starter. He hasnt been here 2 weeks and it seems to me he runs the offense better than brooks

Everyone is to blame. I'm not surprised with the collapse. Lots of people got excited during this short streak, but we can't expect to win without a 3rd star.
I'm not saying that McGrady wasn't to blame for most of our problems, but that's the bottom line.

You cannot single out Ron Artest... It was the team's fault. The ball movement stopped... AB stopped to be aggressive. The team settled for jumpers... Too much turn over down the stretch...

Looks to me Morey's gamble is failing.

Just Gorden and Rose today. Imagine DM in the playoff? AB will get killed.

I know this board likes to group think, and a lot of you think Brooks is so superior to Rafer. You would throw out 7 or so winning streak when Brooks starting. Guess what? Rafer had 22 game winning streak last season. Does Brooks even shoot significantly better than Rafer? This isn't a stats game.

Like a lot of have said, Brooks may be better than Alston at some things but he still cant lead a team. I dont think we will ever be good with him starting. He needs to come of the bench.

Rose dominating him why not put in Lowry? Brooks was not contributing on the offense end so it should have been an easy decision. Is Lowry still hurt?

He is just too short to pass the ball.

Brooks hesitated to move the ball which killed the team. He can't move the ball to Yao, which cause the failure.

Stopped because Artest stopped of running the offense. He wanted the ball everytime, and instead of moving without the ball and take a good position for himself, his partners and the offense, he was chasing the ball, like a child does. And when he took the ball, he shoot it ala Kobe or McGrady. He wants to be the heroe everytime, he wants to be a superstar since his first day in NBA, and now he thinks he is it.

... Like a ****ing child, at 30 y.o. Grow up, man.

Because its too difficult to bounce-pass from 20 feet away into a fronted Yao
