Brooks is visiting Huizhou, a small county in the southern province of Canton, interacting with fans and teenagers out there. Here are the pics (courtesy to Chinese fan site hoopchina). Last but not least. Brooks posing with a nice chick: More pics here: http://bbs.hoopchina.com/1005/1272055.html
I believe the Chinese are getting into Leg extensions. It promises to be a painful process, but Aaron is young. So, while you are over there Brooks...
I think his Nike Hyperdunk Low PE sneakers are being "introduced" for sale May 3 in Hong Kong. It's the white sneakers he wore at home this season.
If he was 3 inches taller, he's probably not available at our pick. That's what happens when you have a good but not great team. You don't win championships and you have to draft more flawed players later in the first round. Unless you're the Spurs, of course. Then you find All-Stars in the 2nd round. Morey has done pretty well with his picks but he's yet to pull off a Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili.
Ummm last time I checked, Aaron Brooks was better than Tony Parker this year. So yes he did draft a Tony Parker.
Parker is a Finals MVP, has been a key piece to multiple championships and accomplished a lot more than Brooks at a much younger age. He was also injured for much of this season while Brooks was in a rare situation where we had no elite players around him, kind of like Mike James in his breakout season. Regardless, my main point was that when people say "I wish he was taller" or "I wish he had this skill or that skill" it's important to realize that he probably wouldn't be a Rocket if any those things were the case. My understanding is that several teams were intrigued by Brooks and impressed by his showing at the pre-draft camp but were worried about his diminutive size and lack of true PG skills. He may have gone several spots earlier if not for those flaws.
Mike James is not a fair comparison, as he had his "breakout" season on a terrible Raptors team, and arguably padded his stats at the expense of his team. Aaron Brooks, meanwhile, had his career year on a competitive and respectable team (a winning team at that). Also, Brooks has shown that he can be an effective star player on teams with superstars, and he has been a successful playoff performer. While Parker obviously has had the more distinguished career at this point, I would argue that there is a good chance Tim Duncan could have won multiple titles with Aaron Brooks as his point guard as well.
anyone ever notice how he contorts his feet when he shoots? i know in nba games its to stay behind the line, but it looks like he is doing it here too
