    LOL.

Its not as easy as you say. You and I both know Rick hated rafer, but he was extremely loyal to him....

Believe me, Rafer wouldn't come off the bench....why do you think he isn't on the magic anymore?

The dude actually started **** with Artest last year, probably deservingly so, but still shows you his personality, which isn't taylored to take the backseat.

One more thing, If you think JVG would have kept AB....you don't know him very well.

AB is a full mode offensive player, an anti JVG type.

Ryan Bowen, Shane Battier, Rafer alston, are all crappy offensive players. They were on the rockets for a reason, because we wanted them. Notice how we don't draft any players like that anymore? (Chuck Wagon is a special exception though)

Not what I mean, chuck was drafted while JVG was here. But he is special in the sense that he is worth his lack of offensive ability.

Believe me, the trade wouldn't have happened had Tmac not going down like that. Management knows there is no chance Rockets would win the title once Tmac got himself out for the season, so they start the rebuilding process, which means take the risk of losing more games to develop young PGs ilke AB/Lowry.

It is not just about AB. Lowry is just as important, if not more.

I never said that, but with tmac out they needed more offense, if you would like to call his inefficient shooting that, which called for the emergence of brooks. Lowry is good, they hafve been eyeing him for a long time, but lets not go overrating him.

it went up in 2008, 3rd or 2nd best defense in the league just behind boston i believe. But Dikembe Mutumbo is one of the best defensive players in the history of the game, even at such a ripe age.

Do yo have a Deke to back Yao up now?

And as I remembered, even with Deke as backup, Yao's defense +/- stats was better than Deke in his last couple years. Deke kept losing a step, Yao's defense kept getting better.

That was the stats for the entire season, not for the games Yao didn't play.

If you watched the games the entire season, the disparity was quite clear.

This is my point. I argued all summer with battier is the best defender in history crowd that losing yao and deke and replacing with scola, hayes and landry would be terrible. Whenever yao went out and adelman refused to play deke, the opponets attcked the rim and turned the game into a layup drill. When teams put yao in pnr and pull him from the goal, they attack weakside. Thats why 2 yrs ago i wanted mbenga for the 787k he signed with lakers. Thats why this year i thought they should've traded shane for camby. The fact they had 0 size and no one to contest shots. If they had those 2 guys right now, they would be in the playoffs.

I don't know about that, especially last season. For example, Deke was kinda getting owned by Oden before he got injured in last year's playoffs.

No knock on Deke, he was one of the greatest defender ever played in NBA.

But next year, do we have anyone remotely close to Deke's defensive impact to back up Yao? I don't think so.

lol you are kidding right? DRose bullies brookes every time they play each other. I would take DRose over brookes any day of the week. lol you are really a homer. just because brookes has had a great season does not make him same as rose.

DRose is the definition of a franchise point guard. High BBIQ, great size, scores at will, great shooter, great defender...

Even at 42 Deke was a better defender then yao. i know you're a yao-only-fan, but be realistic.
