Well he's the franchise player this year due to injuries. Pretty sure no team would actually sign him to be their Franchise player as in make him the highest paid player on their team and build around him. I don't think you can win a Championship with him as your best player.
AB is certainly the mvp of this team, the only other guy who could be considered is Scola. A "franchise player" to me is someone you can build a franchise around (Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Melo, Dwight, Durant, Roy, Deron, maybe a couple others)
Eh? How can you such a limited sample of games compared to Aaron's actual performance over the course of an entire season starting and say that equals Bobby Jackson being better then Brooks? That is like say Scola is the best 3point shooter in the league because of the one 3 point shot he made earlier in the season. The fact is, 12 years playing and BJ only had one season of 200+ assists, meanwhile AB has had two in three years.
This season, AB is the MVP. Any other season, its Yao. With AB healthy, and playing the best basketball of his career, you don't make the playoffs. With Yao healthy, and playing the best basketball of his career, you make the playoffs, and then some.
Yes it's just a sample of 26 games. But the purpose is to give that guy an idea about what kind of a player Bobby Jackson was when he was in his prime. He was as good as AB as a shooter, a much better rebounder and a much better defender. And he went to the line more often. He made a lot boneheaded plays, but AB isn't much better in that department either. To say AB is 100 better than Jackson in him prime is out of the line. Rockets would be contender if they can afford to have AB or a prime Jackson coming off bench.
HAHAHAHA..LMFAO...AB a Franchise Player!?!!?!... AB is nowhere near close of ever becoming a franchise player, I dont even think he'll be an All-star.....the guy is a good starting PG; A role player, THATS IT!!!
People still think yao is the franchise player?. lol. 30, coming off 3 surgeries has a long history of injuries. he might be the face, but the days of him being the franchise are done.
Aaron Brooks is not a franchise player. There is a difference between a franchise player - the guy you build your entire team around- and the best player on an injury depleted roster.
I should add that true franchise players are essentially untradable, unless they ask to be moved. Aaron Brooks could very well be on his way out this offseason if the team decides to sell high like they did with Carl Landry.
We have a franchise, not a franchise player. Aaron Brooks is easily a top 10 point guard, and may be a top 5 point guard. Paul DWill Nash Rondo ????
We dont have any franchise worthy player anymore. we had one in 04-05 with a prime tmac, but we have had one since.
Westbrook is not better than Brooks Nelson is not better than Brooks Rose == Brooks at this point Billups is only slightly better and on the downhill path while Brooks is on the rise Same for Parker
