They didn' even double yao. They froned him which is far from a double and took him out the game. They tiled tto brooks and even trapped him on the perimeter. Go watch the games and understand what tilts, fronts, and doubles look like.
Again, you don't know the game even tough you claimed you played organized basketball at college level. How the hell did Scola got open at FT line all day long? Because Blazers had to put their PF close to Yao as well after fronting. That 1 and a half man on Yao without him even touch the ball. Players and coached from both team said that, and you again just ignore that by pretending to know better than other posters.
If you are talking about the "42" year old Deke three years ago, fine, you may have a case. But last year it wasn't close. The biggest improvement Yao made last year was his defense. Rockets gave up 5.4 points fewer per 48 mnues when Yao was on the court, but they gave up 4.9 points more per 48 minutes when Deke played. He lost another step. I guess that's also the reason when RA took Yao out at the end of the game for defensive purpose, it was Hayes, not Deke, to replace him.
Since everything that man says is either wrong or a flat out lie, I'll take your post as a vote of confidence for Brooks.
There's opinion and then fact....what I said was fact. Or was there not enough "transparency for you" in that post.
If I sat down with you to watch game tape and breakdowns, you wouldn't know what the hell you were looking at and thats being kind. Game 1 was clearly yao operaing with a player behind him and yao took advantage bigtime. The blazers got between a rock and a hard spot because Yao was killing, brooks was killing, and they were slow to rotate to scola. In game 2, they decided to front yao with the big and scola's man was within arms reach of him with battier's man opposite shoe blocks. Since rules say you cant camp in he lane, they blazers managed to shut yao down without doubling and stay close enough to scola to keep him from getting his sho off. What they did after that was extend the pressure to brooks. Again, if you knew anytthing about basketball you would be able to see this.
Wow, Scola got 15 and 18 shots in game 3, game 4 and that's the definition of can't get a shot off? I'll let you see by yourself how bad your posts look like, listen to Bullard's comments: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PY1CY5LkxEA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PY1CY5LkxEA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Just watch the video and focus on Yao, see how many Blazers stay around him with and without him getting the ball.
LMAO, at least pos a video that backs up your argument. The video you posted only backs what i said to a T.They doubled Yao one time and it was a blown assignment by aldridge. he shotts scola were getting wer from brooks penetration in case you didn't notice. Also, I said game 2 which you didn't read or didn't care to post that video. I know its a school nigh for you and you didn't get your nap in. Its cool though. Maybe when I start my clinics again and if you're in houston, you can attend for free with a parents signed release form.
Man, blown assignment? Aldridge clearly was helping on defending Yao and ignoring Scola on multiple plays, many of those plays without Yao touching the ball. Yao only got doubled own time? For the first 1 and a half minutes of the video only, Yao got doubled 4 times WITHOUT the ball: Look at 0:27 mark, 0:40 mark, 1:09 mark, 1:17 mark. Now you simply doing the denial thing after you are getting owned again. LOL.
And look at 7:20 mark how Blazers chose to leave Brooks wide open to double Yao, again without the ball.
Just a simple question, why did alridge run away from the ball side and left his man o go guard yao if it wasn't a clearly blown assignment? I watched the entire thing, not to mention i have i on a hard drive and don't see these doubles before getting the ball you lay claim to. You can say ownage or whatever else you want to use, but its clear after game 2, adelman inverted tthe offense and used brooks and scola in high pick and roll to create space and scoring chances. In game 2, the blazers fronted yao and alridge played at arms length to scola and they tiled ttowards brooks. Since niether batter nor artes wer going to blow by their defenders, the guy oppsie weakside could si on the opposite blocks and prevent the lob.
I can't find game 2 video on youtube, so what you said is all you want to say. But I presented game 3 and you still claim Yao only got doubled once while he was clearly doubled 4 times WITHOUT the ball in first 90 seconds of the video. How can I trust what you said about game 2? You blown out your own credibility, man.
I didn't know a guy getting rubbed on a pick was a double. It was a simple down screen and roy got caught on a great pick by yao and shane knocked down the jumper.
Then start looking from 0:25 mark, the guy was obviously left Battier wide open to stay close to Yao, and got screened by Yao when Battier made a move. Man, your basketball knowledge look worse by each post.
