Yeah....kinda like a kid who's had wayyyy too much caffeine. I'm tellin you guys, Brooks is "Coke Zero!"
if this guy bulks up a little without losing his speed, he can be starting PG next year, Alston needs to go back to NY.

The more I think about it the more impressed I am by Brooks in the Rockets' last offensive possession of the game. It's a high pick and roll and Landry starts to come out to set the pick. Brooks waves him off, dribbles past the guy guarding him (Rondo?), forces Landry's defender to rotate to stop the drive to the basket and then dishes to Landry. It strikes me that waving off the pick like that takes a lot of confidence. Especially with the game on the line.
Guys, i love brooks and everything but are we going to take a blind eye to all the mistakes he makes? I mean, he was big for us and a huge reason he won but i saw a lot of dumb passes and erratic behavior. Against Philly I saw him wave off tmac and tmac got pissed. I dont even think i've seen Brooks ever pass to Tmac. He's not a great passer. He's decent at best. In 37 min vs Boston he had 4 assists. Yao and Artest matched that and they're not PGs. Rafer had 3 in 25 min. Thats one less assist in 1 quarter less of playing time...and Rafer isnt even an incredible passer. Again, I love Brooks. I just dont think he's ready for a pedestal this high.
We were very fortunate that a blocking foul wasn't called on that play. Brooks obviously slid in place right after Pierce took flight. Eric Lewis really earned his 'Tommy Points' on that one! haha...
brooks being so small gets that call i think. If it were yao taking that charge, even if he were on time, it's an automatic block.
Any historical reference is appreciated. Cheney wasn't the only sitting vice-president to shoot somebody!
um flash and absolute are kinda out there his current ones are perfect from Aaron Brooks = AB = After Burner or Wind
Don't forget the play at the end when the celts were trying to foul him to stop the clock and he ran between 3 guys like they were on slow motion
Aaron right now has definitely more upside than Rafer. Let him learn on the job. Yes he is young, and will make mistakes, but will also be able to make a lot of plays. Hopefully if this team is healthy for the playoffs, Aaron will have gotten plenty of experience during the season to play well in the playoffs. This is what the spurs did with Parker when he was still young. We should be doing the same.
Does Brooks make mistakes? Sure, but so does Rafer. Brooks' upside is much higher than Rafer's. Brooks is also just a second year player who didn't see enough playing time in his rookie year. Given a choice between the two my mind's made up: start Brooks.
Rafer had a -16 in a 4 point winning game. His 25 minutes must be a hell to the team. If he played 35 minutes, it will be a loss for sure. Brooks had only 4 assists but he shot 8/16. That's 8 Brooks assists to Brooks. At least, we know Brooks did something good with the ball.
