We don't ignore racism from any side, that's just your imagination. What we do recognize is racism that has serious consequences on opportunity and prosperity and racism that doesn't.

Where did this come from?? I completely understand that white america has an advantage because of slavery, Jim Crow, trail of tears, etc.. I don't disagree with that at all. I've never called you a wingnut, ignorant or paranoid (huh? where did THAT come from?). I also stated that racism is not unique to white people. I also agreed that we as a society react to it differently and I all did was give the reason why. If you need further explanation I think minority lashes out more because the history of oppression and white people allows it to happen due to the guilt of the oppression that had led to them being on top of the social pyramid. My first/original post actually stated that we as a nation are closing the lines and become a better country despite historical issues.

There's an increased sensitivity among white people that they're losing control of what things should be. Not saying there's some hive mind, but there's an uptick of this garbage on conservative radio that capitalizes upon that sentiment. I think the black-white "double standard" started as an annoyance, but it could resonate louder with Obama as president. Though this is more centered (through the media) in the immigration debate. This directly correlates with the economy and our international standing...
