A Warning to those sitting near me at the playoff games...

Good question. Are you allowed to bring your own noise makers? I know security might be tight-- but pennies in empty water bottles are good noisemakers! Any other ideas for those who are going? I want to hear the thunderous crazy noise from my couch!!!

 

That's great. I'll bring my baby, and when Dirk's shooting his 15th free throw, we can have the arena quiet except the sound, off to one side, of a crying baby. There's nothing quite as distracting as listening to a baby wailing her ass off.

I was at Game 3 against the Lakers last year. I'm a fairly sedate person anyway, so I wasn't disturbing anyone in their fancy seats (row 7, sweet-ass seats!) for most of the game. But, at about 2 minutes left, with a very important possession in the offing, I stood up and stayed up for the remainder. A guy pokes me in the back to tell me to sit -- which I ignored. Seriously, 2 minutes left in a close game in which your team is winning against the Lakers with Kobe and Shaq in the playoffs, and you're sitting down?

 

Plastic ones are legal, electronic ones are not they will stop you at the door....

 

As a long time member of the cheap seats, I had the opportunity to get on the bottom (5th row), and you are right on the money about the type of "fans" in that section.


I would LOVE to sit in that area all the time, since you can actually yell and the players will hear you, but it is so uptight down there with all the suits. (people do stare you down) I honestly can say I rather be with the cheap seat section were fans go nutz screaming.

I second that, I am the proud owner of cheap seats and I have a chance to sit with the suits and it was boring as hell half of them were not even watching the game but discussing business....

I also notice alot just go sit at the bar or hang at the bar and get drunk and don't even sit in their seats......

I bet because Rockets clinched and their is no playoff implications here I bet it's a ghost town tonight.....I hope not though.

 

I just scored some tickets online, section 101 row 21. Anyone near here?

I have an idea for the megaphone. Ask somebody to bring it to the smoking area at anytime and just take it from them and hide it on your way back.

Just got my tickets for Sat. game here in Dallas and me and my wife will be going nuts, I'm saying the Roxs steal game one and we let all of Dallas know about it!

Also got seats for the game in Houston on 4/30. We will be in section 126 row F bringing the noize!

 

Hell Kaleidosky, you know I'll lose my voice by the 1st quarter and continute to yell my hoarse voice inside and out! All those people who are there like it's the freakin library can just expect to get their ears yelled off!

 

any advice on how to keep our voices throughout the game?

i usually end up losing it by the end of the first.

 

I am also a victim of the Country Club Fan (CCF).

Me and my friends were asked to sit down with 3 minutes left in Game 3 of the playoffs last year. At first, we thought they were surely jesting, however the 'seventeenth hole at the country club' gleam in their eyes made it obvious that they were dead serious.

Our emotions turned to momentary embarassment, then transitioned to shock and within seconds to prideful anger in the form of screaming our voices out and ignoring these CCF's behind us for the rest of that game and the entirity of Game 4.

This year we know better then to even acknowledge the CCF. Just look back at them and laugh while continuing on your blind-ref/dallas-sucks tirades.

In time the viral infection strain that causes CCF will die out like a useless gene and the crazy rocket fan will be able to yell in peace.


-section 412 will have 12 LOUD fans representin'... what section will you raise the decibals in?

 

Section 112. 1st time in the lower bowl. I'm hoping the fans will be okay in the corner since those seats aren't quite as expensive.

 

I am one of the 12 of the guys that is going with Rocketscientist......we all decided to wear RED on THURDAY and all of us wear WHITE on SAT. So if you want to join the red /white thing...go ahead....I wish the rockets would announce colors like the texans do BATTLE RED DAY.....but anyways section 412 will be going NUTS!!!!
