A-train made a bet with SamFish during last years playoffs that the Rockets wouldn't make the playoffs. If he lost to Sam, A-train would leave the BBS forever. If the Rockets didn't make the playoffs, Sam would leave the BBS forever. Well the Rockets made it in, and A-train made it out.

That's a nice theory, but I'm actually Macbeth. See the "M" stands for "Macbeth", and the "cable" stands for the place where you can watch reruns of "JAG."

I figured it was just time to come clean.

My post was a sarcastic one. Thanks for proving my hypothesis that emoticons do serve a necessary function.

Okay, you got me there. I knew I should have added some allusions to the Peloponnesian War.

For some reason, that made me laugh more than anything on this board this year.

Damn, I thought the cable stood for what most of the men on this board would readily supply Catherine Bell with.

    damn impressive necro-bump.

Whatever caused you to even remember this thread?

ftr, A-train has not posted since Dec 07.

Not any good without a date stamp.

Every time I see the "I hate the Jazzholes" thread, I remember A-Train. :(

naw, its a valid screencap, if you check AT's profile, you will notice it shows last activity(at the time I looked) is jsut a few minutes before jeremiah posted it.

really, this thread seems odd to bump, as he has clearly been back since this thread was originally created.

I want to say he is at 16,002 post. I forgot the exact reason, but I don't think he was happy with management.

No deep meaning to it. I vaguely remembered it and did a search for 'a-train' and this thread title seemed to fit as good as anything I could come up with. And seeing old posts is fun.

I looked for a date stamp but saw nothing on the bbs root page. However there is a note of "most users online on 5-5-9". Given that it was two years from the last time he poster, as r2k pointed out, it's at least proof of his lurkitude.

I have the screenshot saved with a 'date created' stamp. It's not 4-1 so you can trust me not to play shenanigans on this. :)

Anyway, if the bump seems incongruous, my feelings won't be hurt if my first comment and everything after is moved to a new thread or merged with something more appropriate.

There is a date stamp, you just have to see it.

Frankly, I'm surprised someone as "detail-oriented" as you seem to be would miss that.
