    Yao needs to stay healthy...

All the best center (regular season) in NBA talk doesn't matter if he is not on the court playing.

That trade make would make us in the mold of the Suns & Warriors. We would win 55-60 games each year, then watch the West & NBA finals at home.

It was obviously supposed to be: "any rotation WITH mcgrady is bound to fail"

As much as I disagree with trading Yao, you have to admit, there can't be many sweeter packages then Marion+2008 Miami Unprotected 1st. That's some good stuff right there.

I'd take beasly and marion for yao. I think beasly will be a beast. 7-6 guys usually have feet problem. If yao was healthy the decision would be harder.

    That's a bit harsh. :D

But I normally end up with very little respect of guys with "Dr." in his handle.

Next year, with both Yao and McGrady, while upgrading the PG position in the off season and with the emergence of Scola and Landry, the Rox can be like the Suns in that they could play both small ball (when Yao is not playing) or a half court slow down style with Yao. They would also match up better with the other big teams.

Playing both of these styles will enable the Rox to limit Yao's minutes to 30 perhaps, thereby minimizing injury potential. The run without Yao this year may convince Adelman to limit Yao's minutes.

The Suns may make a deep run this year with both Nash, Stoudamire and Shaq. They are now able to play both physical and fast paced.

    chill, man.

u r making we **** (ROFs as well) look bad. the OP was just trying to make his point, which matter-of-factly could be good the rox in the long run, even though that deal is never gonna happen.

on a side note, is there any chance we could do this trade:

Loser Head for D.Wade+Miami's first rounder?

It's obvious Dr. Basketball didn't care for the Big guy in the middle. To misspell his name like that... never mind.

This would be a terrible trade for the Rockets. Yao was playing great until the injury. He's the hardest worker the Rockets have, a great teammate and is the best center in the league. Who in their right mind would trade away this asset? Marion complained his way out of Phoenix. That's enough for me to know about him.

Yao is also the best FT shooter we got. It's so embrassing to have a tech FT and miss!!!!

This game against the Suns show what having interior size and post presence can do for a team. And Yao is better than Shaq now.

Also, the Heat may be the worst team but it's no guarantee they will get the 1st pick. They can get hte 4th. Also, Marion is a FA at the end of the year so unless you are prepared to bit for his service at super high salary, it's trading Yao for a possible high draft pick.

It's not even worth a though and BTW, I thought Dr. Basketball was going out and having a life? What' he's still here?

If the man cannot keep his own word.....

    HAHAHAHAHHA

I hope you are just kidding.

Yes, Shawn Marion is a good player, but Yao for Marion? Thats the worst and most stupid trade idea i've ever seen in my life!! How much better do you think we would be with Marion in our line-up and no Yao...

No need to imagine. Just look in the desert

    Nash/Marion/Amare/Bell/LB

didnt even get to the finals.

Trade Ming for Marion and unproven rookie? You are eithe insane or a Heat troll.

HOW? Jamlogging the whole team's 15-players roster with 5 to 6 power forwards?

If you feel so BAD about me criticizing this Dr. Know-Nothing-About-Basketball, then maybe you can respond on his behalf my questions challenging his STUPID proposal which did not matter-of-factly make any business or basketball sense?

I am wondering why didn't this Dr. Basketball post this thread during the 22 winning streak, instead, post it during rockets-suns game?

It doesn't make any sense! He might just do it for fun! :p
