If people that I know and see who have worked both for and against Mitch McConnell are to be believed is one of the most corrupt and rotten politicians around.

I've never heard many people referring to Reid as radical or especially liberal. (I may have just missed it.) The main gripe about Reid is that he's as crooked as Tom Delay. He's been linked to many scandals, although none have stuck yet. I'm sure he's pretty bi-partisan about to whom he'll sell his votes.

To be clear, I should have asked if someone could explain the ad more in my previous post.

Was the whole point of it to show that he is a true Tennessee guy? I mean what was the reason to bring up Ford going to Penn.... was there more to the ad?

"What you may consider to be a harmless vote for a Democrat, could be a vote that boosts certified whack-jobs like Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid into a position of power."

Yes you did miss it. I was responding to that. It's on the previous page.

    Harry Reid is pro-life.

Here's some funny/ scary notes about his life...

"In July of 1978, a man named Jack Gordon, who was later married to LaToya Jackson, offered Reid twelve thousand dollars to approve two new, carnival-like gaming devices for casino use. Reid reported the attempted bribe to the F.B.I. and arranged a meeting with Gordon in his office. By agreement, F.B.I. agents burst in to arrest Gordon at the point where Reid asked, “Is this the money?” Although he was taking part in a sting, Reid was unable to control his temper; the videotape shows him getting up from his chair and saying, “You son of a b****, you tried to bribe me!” and attempting to choke Gordon, before startled agents pulled him off. “I was so angry with him for thinking he could bribe me,” Reid said, explaining his theatrical outburst. Gordon was convicted in federal court in 1979 and sentenced to six months in prison."

"One day in 1981, Landra Reid noticed that the family station wagon was not running properly, and she discovered a cable under the hood and “something” sticking out of the gas tank. Police found a device that would have exploded had it been correctly grounded. Reid always blamed Gordon for the bomb, and the incident frightened his family—by then there were five children, four sons and a daughter—so that for a year they started the car by remote control."

Yes, the message was basically Corker is more "local", and more concerned. The message may appeal since Corker is slightly leading in polls, but to me it smacks of finding a frivilous issue to try to gain votes, rather than sticking to bigger issues.

Ford Jr. desparately wants an open forum debate, but Corker was smart to not bite...What Corker has done right is stick to issues he is for and keeping a "family values" theme in his ads. He now has his daughter and mother in the ads and in my view this actually helps him connect to the people...

Ford Jr. likewise has made his best impression when his ads are not in attack mode and he states eloquently what he is about. The attack ads on both sides have become silly...

roxran, thanks for the info. I'm following the TN race a little since I was there the last 4 years. I tend to be conservative, haven't followed this race enough to comment too much though.

Did you watch the debate on Saturday night?

ROX have you received any calls from the RNC asking if you support medical experiments on dead fetuses?

    Out of line.

That being said, being chastised by TJ is a case of "pot/kettle" like I've never seen before.

Talk about "lunatic fringe" conspiracy theorists.

Is a "lunatic fringe cook" someone who bakes souffles with agendas?

In the vein that this thread seems to have taken...

It takes one to know one.
