don't care about all the hate. i want tmac to stay and play to see if he can get back to playing at a high level while complimenting the team. i think the team owes it to itself to see if there is a chance that tmac can excel again...and then try to give the tmac/yao/good guys team one last go. i like the upside more than the downside presented here with the hate. oh...tmac is this and that...he said this and that... . So what? Play some damn ball and let the ball do the talking.

They did and the ball said it didn't like when Tmac shot it because it was painful clanking off the rim so much and that it never saw him when he was supposed to be guarding the guy with it.

I loved Tmac and his game. It sad it has to end this way.
However, business is business. He is not the corner stone of this team anymore. We could accommodate him, try to integrate him, and let him free flow on both ends. But none of these makes basketball sense considering his diminished physical ability and expiring contracts. I am with coach A. I rather see those minutes invested in C-Bud and Taylor.
It's sad, and we Rockets fans will all wish Tmac the best of his rest career.
So long Mac, thank you for all these wonderful years.

I think the T-Mac haters are being louder than those of us who acknowledge T-Mac's faults/mistakes but appreciate his contributions to our team over the years.

I think of it as akin to blogs, etc. where people comment on products/services. Those who are most passionate against something send often tend to be louder than the silent majority who are satisfied/indifferent to the product or servie.

this pretty much sums up my feelings on the Rockets and T-Mac, from a veteran poster.

i saw 16,000 fans cheer for Tracy as he entered the game against the Clippers, his best game since he returned.

he scored 10 points in 8 minutes, was the leading scorer at the half, dished out 3 assists and got to the line a couple of times...

then he rots on the bench when he can clearly play.

the team needs those kinds of numbers right now...

Story lines are interesting, but I like bottom lines. Can he make the team better? The players in the organization are men and paid professionals. They're grown enough to deal with a personality thats different from theirs. If Battier and Yao dont like a player, boo hoo go out on the court together and try to beat the Jazz.

Though when you make a move like announce surgery to the media without announcing it to the team, which sabotages a trade, yeah you've kinda made it pretty bad for yourself... Its like a girl you're for sure going to break up with, then you find out she's possibly pregnant from her cousins Facebook update, and you remember she pulled a similar move like that before. Sure you've had your good times together and you'll try to do the responsible thing. But you'll never look at her the same.

It's been very interesting to see how many people are angry at T-Mac for getting another Doctors opinion about his knee, having obviously the correct surgery done, and healing up quite well. Last year all we heard was that there was nothing wrong with T-Mac. He should not be in any pain, and that he was dogging it. We find out this year that the pain in his knee was akin to feeling a dentist drill on your tooth and hitting a nerve every time he landed on it. Yes his history with the Magic will bring out the skeptics, but it is not beyond management to try to get a player to play through the pain in order to win. No matter what. It's their perogative. He's making over 20 million a year right? Wouldn't you let a dentist drill in your mouth and hit a nerve every night for that amount of $$$$$ and keep your mouth shut? For the team?

No onus placed on our Doctors for maybe missing this? Suggesting a different course of action. Of course not!!!

    - If the doctors truely missed their diagnosis and Tracy did make the right move in extending his career with microfracture surgery, I'm all for it. I hope he gets his ring with another team soon. Meanwhile, I'll nash my teeth as we suffer through a few lean years before returning to the promise land. I watched many supporting casts come and go around Moses and Dream. Now the watch continues.

This mentality is not shared by every1 however. Hate is a dam strong word when meant, and to hate sum1 u usually have to have a pretty strong reason to, and them hating you is not always strong enough. Tracy is a professional and therefore NBA and especially Houston fans "hating" him may not be enough for him to hate them, he just wants to carry on and put them aside and concentrate on his career.

Because the true fans who actually understand the team and take into account Tmacs importance are often the ones who attend the games, its just people who think they no everything about the situation and draw their own conclusions - often subjectively

This is an honest question from a ROCKETS fan to you and other T-Wack jocksniffers...

Why is this the third, I repeat THE THIRD team that he has left from on
bad terms?? Why is he booed when he goes back to Toronto and Orlando to this day???

See if you T-Slack buttkissers would honestly ask and answer that question-
    you would be incredibly enlightened.

Ariza did that one game also, he definitely should get more chances.

Oh if you forgot, we have a winning record currently.

Trevor Ariza has been God-Awful lately. I just wanted to see more of T-Mac during his comeback tour. If he is done as a Rocket, then so be it.

he looked good out there is all. if the trade makes the team better, then I'm all for that, too. never liked seeing Francis or Mobley go at first but as a fan, I adjusted my opinion. once T-Mac is gone, I won't lose a wink of sleep over it.

I would really hate to see Scola, Landry, or even Battier go, because as you pointed out, we have a winning record.

The last victim of this same "taking quotes out of context" trick was VSpan.

yes really  if mcgrady gets the blame for the rockets' playoff woes because he was the best player and he failed, then he should certainly get the credit for their success.

Iunno about orlando, people in toronto boo him

first because tmac signed with magic instead of with raptors because he thinks VC is stealing his spotlight

second because Fans in toronto are pricks and cant get over it.. they still boo carter to this day and it fires him up every time and burn them
