    Whatever the hell happened, there is no doubt it was a good thing. I wouldn't care if US soldiers dressed up as Iraqi's and started cheering. The scene sends a clear message that Saddam is gone, and there's nothing worth fighting for anymore. I don't understand why some people on the left are so intent to prove the whole thing was a hoax? Do they want the Iraqi people to believe there's really nothing to be happy about and continue fighting? Or are they just bitter about the recent success of the war? Explain to me, cause I just don't understand?

    Make no mistake, the scenes that were broadcast this week will save lives, decrease the resistance of Iraqi's, and ultimately end the war sooner. If the military was behind it (which I don't think they were), it was a BRILLIANT tactic, and will help bring more troops home sooner. But if you're against that, just go ahead and keep digging.

    BTW, that picture is clearly not at the same time the statue fell, as codell already pointed out.
