i dont consider them as champions on that shortened 99 season. for me, if they win this, it'll be their first championship. but, we dont have to worry tying our championships with them coz we are now on the verge of having one again.

Lighten up and show some empathy guys. Based on claims like Drob was a better defensive player than Hakeem it clearly shows a 4 syllable chant would be way too much for the San Antonio fans to keep strait.
i'll let the dude have his moment.... david robinson is retiring blah blah..... we know robinson isn't the best defensive player ever. hakeem wasn't even the best defensive player either....but imo better. i think robinson's legacy will be what he's done off the court as well. robinson didn't every get the spurs a championship like hakeem did. he got one w/ the help of the current two time mvp.
Okay, the guys post is ridiculous, but he's obviously suffering from a bad case of homer-itis. And the Spurs did double Dream back then, starting around game 3 after it was so painfully obvious that DRob couldn't handle him (<---Its been awhile....am I remembering that correctly?). As good as DRob was, they simply must have figured that he would at least be able to contain Hakeem, which is why they didn't double him from the start. Besides, the Spurs were running out of jock straps with the way Dream had the Little Mermaid jumping straight out of his that series. And I like Robinson. I mean, I hate him in a healthy rivalry kind of way, but I don't hate him or the Spurs the same way I hate Utah. I down-right loath Stockton/Malone and the Jazz.
