Ok sorry i also want to know a song, and i do not want to open a new thread. I think it is pretty recent, it is a woman, and i think the title of the song is "Why", but i'm not sure.
well i'm gonna ask about a song i wanna know. it's some sort of classical song, probably an aria from some opera but i don't really know anything from an opera besides figaro. it's a really famous song as you hear it all the time in random clips of stuff. it basically just has some nice classical music playing in the background and women singing in real full voices. at least i think there are several women (it doesn't sound like just one, nor does it sound like a choir). i have no idea what they are singing or if they are just making melodic noises (if they are singing i'm sure it's italian or something). their voices just kind of ebb and flow from the little i can remember. the music reminds me somewhat of Canon in D and, really, if i had to describe the song, i would say it's kinda the Canon in D of arias as you hear it all the time and it's just nice and peaceful. i heard it in some commercial recently for an energy company that i think started with the letter D, but i couldn't find it by googling. anyway, if you know any classical song that sounds like what i said (really famous, women singing so it's not just music, music sounds like Canon in D) give me a name and i'll see if it's what i'm looking for.
Annie Lennox?? It is probably something by Mozart - maybe an aria from "The Marriage of Figaro" or "Don Giovanni".
Sounds like it might be "Viens, Malika... Dome epais le jasmin" from Lakmé by Delibes. Check out track 4 on this album to confirm: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...2-0416751-0979262?s=classical&v=glance&n=5174
Nah, it's that one...you know, just simple lines intertwining...influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece.
that's ****ing insane! it's like i said "hey, there's this song with some singing and some music" and you actually figured out which song it was. i know this thread is dead, but i had to say thanks.
You're quite welcome. That song was actually the reason I became an opera singer. I remember the first time I heard it: it was playing in the background while Susan Sarandon sexed up Catherine Deneuve in the movie The Hunger. Good times...
