Seen both, and I think Serbian film is worse and it's not really that close. Ichi is obviously real violent, but it doesn't quite mess with you the way A Serbian Film does. It doesn't make you feel wrong like A Serbian Film does. The only movie I've heard that really compares to A Serbian Film is August Underground Mordum, which I've never seen, but have read about and Wikipedia'd. There's some sick dudes in this world who can think of stuff like this...
I watched the entire movie yesterday and cringed at times, but i thought i the plot was really good. There are some underlying themes in it that are taboo subjects for many people, skeleton in the closet type of stuffs that most people would rather not want to discuss. Did anyone else thought this was fapable until the main character got his gig?
I hear people say that, and I'd like to know what you thought the themes were. Just curious, because when I was watching, I couldn't get past the stuff happening in the film to really analyze the movie itself.
I think my brain did the same thing at first during those graphic scenes. It was some sick stuffs, but the irony in this was that the main character wasn't a sick twisted person unlike the others who have higher status/power in society including his sick ass cop brother. He did all that sick ****s while he was drugged, at times you could tell he was fighting it and other times the drug took over him. What he did while drugged is no different than the crazy stuffs we hear and read about from serial killers raping/torturing/killing women or soldiers doing the same thing in war, ppl raping their family members especially kids, or ppl having sex with other ppl corpse. There are some other stuffs i missed out on, but i don't think i want to watch it again to find out. Those scenes are like stucked in my head since watching it last night lol. But overall i think it's a good horror movie, definitely some stuffs to it and not just over the top gruelsome stuffs.
lol at the scene when producers' goons had to kill some random street thugs in an alley to save their runaway star from them. Although killing those guys wasn't even planned, & it was in public, they still immediately started removing the dead mens' pants just out of routine. The producer had to stop them, & say no time, get in the car. I imagine Jontro's brain, from 57:45 to 58:30, during the sequence when Milos has masturbatory overload & short circuits. huh only 42/46 rottentomatoes rating.
