Hey hey Obi chopped Luke up in Episode 3 so he ain't no slouch... ;)

I'll be happy with T-Mac and a Yao tandem as long as they're healthy and the rest of the team is filled with shooters.

it's not his fault that we dont make it out of the first round.. it's not his dang fault.. the dude is a great player.. he can win 10 championships if he had a good team...I mean, he took us to the playoffs last year with a bunch of scrubs and a (not-developed-yet) Yao Ming...

I dont understand the reason for all the hatin on T-mac .. I dont know what's wrong with everybody.. as soon as a player gets injured or the team screws up in a season, fans forget everything good about them and start bashing them... what's wrong with u people ????. . that reminds me of the Yankees, every time they dont win a championship, they change their whole staff and they trade everybody they can...Houston has always been a great sport city, especially for basketball..everybody believed in Hakeem's rockets, even though the whole nation underrated us and never gave us credit or considered us contenders.. what's going on now ?? why is everybody trying to trade T-mac ?? and for Bibby ?? we are turning into another Orlando Magic team... T-mac had the bad back since the beginning of his career, he always lived with it and played like a SUPERSTAR.. he is one of the best all around players in the NBA... just give him a chance, stop giving STUPID IDEAS ABOUT STUPID TRADES !!!  ...leave the man alone.. lets give him a chance for next season.. lets not trade him for "kirlienko" or "bibby" or any crap like that... see, my morning was great until I read the title of this thread "Sensible t-mac trade" .. I know I get mad really quick and I start firing at everybody.. I am sorry for any inapropriate posts or comments, but I cant stand people who keep doing that... I dont get it ...

the thing is simple, T-mac had problems this season because he worked out a lot and gained some weight (muscle mass).. I dont think that's a good idea, I think he did that to match bigger and stronger SF's... that's why I believe we should move him back to the 2 and get a "defensive stopper" at the 3 .. T-mac has always played the Shooting guard and he is good at it, lets get him back to his original position and see what happens.. his life will be easier, the team will be better...

IMO, there is no sensible trade for T-Mac. He will be back (no pun intended) and he will be the T-Mac of 2004-05.

you got to be kidding me artest, bibby not all stars? comeon, i am not bashing TMAC i still think he is one of the top 5 best players in the NBA when healthy, and if he is healthy next season i would rather have him then either bibby and artest, but i am just saying from the kings perspective why would you do this trade?

I also think that T McG is a great player and also hope that you are right about him and his recovery. If you are wrong and the Rockets also take a gamble on Tracy then they might be making one heck of a financial error.
If they are right then all is well!!

I think I would be OK with that deal. I mean, neither of those players are of McGrady's caliber, but both bring talents that are certifiable, and hardly arguable, to the table. Artest, albeit a headcase and a marked man by the NBA, is a scorer and probably the best perimeter defender in the league. And Bibby has shown that he is perhaps the best point guard at working the pick-and-roll in all the NBA. Along with that he has proven time and time again that he can hit the big shot.

It's not going to happen but it is certainly worth listening to.

if tmac is healthy, there is no way rox want to trade him.

if rox decide to listen to any trade suggestions involving tmac, other team will automatically assume tmac is not healthy.

if tmac is unhealthy, there's no way other team will want to trade any superstar talent for him.

-- for this reason, I think tmac is probably one of the most untradeable players in the league right now. I simply don't see a single scenario where both teams would want to trade fair and square.

that said, I would think hard about bibby+artest. and I believe this is one of the better tmac trades proposed so far. :)

If Tracy is damaged goods- there are trade scenarios.

If Tracy returns to form (at 27 yrs. old) to his old self; no trade is smart.

When Tracy is at the top of his game and if he returns to the top of his game (healthy) then he is up there with Kobe, Lebron and DWade.

Do we remember the flashes of Tracy's first season when he was healthy and could score at will, make great passes, defend and carry the team?

He is as good a shooter and scorer as there is in the league when he is physically and mentally right, he is young and he proved he is a very good defender.

Just replay the 13 pts. he scored to steal the game from San Antonio with less than a minute to play.

Just watch him. I don't trade him unless his back or his head is really out of whack.

dumb trade idea......NEVER TRADE TMAC!!!!! The rockets are the only team out there with a 1-2 combo. Surround them with quality role players and we are in the finals

Well said. That's why although this trade is fair, the Kings will not do it. I think Artest will be on his best behavior for quite a while, and Bibby is a very good player himself.

THe thing is IF you wait to find out that his back IS injured then hell the whole league would know about it also. Right now it's 'if' but when he gets injured again it won't be 'if' no more. Right now you probably could get some value in return, will never get a Lebron/Kobe, but some pieces that you could build around Ming. Also having a MAX salasry for what another 6 years?? for a players whos' back is injured and can;t play...then hell all you will have is Ryan Bown's of the league on your team.

The only way I see us getting into the Finals/winning it is with T-Mac and Yao. The center/wing superstar combo is unstoppable when played correctly, Shaq and Kobe showed that. T-Mac and Yao can be even better than that because they are not selfish and have good talent and more time. He deserves at least one more season. I dont see the Rockets getting anyone for TMac that would actually help in making a championship run.

only player I would want over TMAC right now would be RAY ALLEN, with a shot like his and the looks he would be getting with Yao, he would greatly benefit this team.

Maybe Ray Allen and Chris Wilcox, or even get me Rashard Back to H-town

I enjoyed the 35 seconds play.... However, I am getting bored that people bring this up to support Tmac everytime. I still wouldn't trade him though---but "replay the 13 points" everytime would be sick, that is like once in a life time. Tmac did it, once in his career, with his full health, full willing to win, and some luck, so what, he had a great game, doesn't mean he will be always able to do that, and he is untradable due to the 13 points. Say if Rox COULD trade him for James, I would agree...
