Sure, TMac fits wells into the Peja Stojakovic role as the resident injury-prone p***y.

not good, as tmac is a horrible jump shooter from outside.
his strength is to penetrate and assist.

I don't think that a good deal. I think it would be better to get play finishers and let tracy play magic. That's why I would like Brooks to start instead of rafer. Get him finishers and let him make the decision with the ball which is what he does now.

Tmac .... Peja role? You guys must be OUT of your minds. This guy would never accept that. In his mind, he is still a bonifide superstar ranked up there with kobe etc etc.

Tmac has lost it. He is the new penny hardaway if anything and both guys wear #1. At least penny has had more success in the postseason. Somebody wake me if tmac every becomes a peja role. His mind = superstar or nothing. He is not willing to accept a sub role on a team. Every superstar has one thing on their minds and that is to leave a legacy in this league.

One of the worst idea. TMac can't make the shoot at high %. He is under 40% constantly.

TMac is not a good outside shooter and is not good at catch and shoot. He needs to have the ball in his hands to do what he does -- creating and scoring. This is why health is even more important to a player like TMac than to someone like Peja.

maybe we can take this to mean the other aspects of peja's game ni that offense. He was always back-cutting for layups on feeds from the big guys at the high-post.. then again, part of the reason he was open was b/c of his shooting threat, and tmac wouldn't have that.

So maybe a better portrayal of the back-cutting game that TMac could employ would be... Cedric Ceballos.. or Shandon Anderson when he was on the j*zz.. ugh.

If tmac wasnt such a duche on defense and actually moved around the court with a little effort, he could play any role he wanted. Unfortunately, he has decided to play the roll of a statue.

    Tmac can't shoot like Peja

But in other aspects, yeah, I think it's interesting to find his game by possibly modeling it after Peja or Finley and whoever.

No, this is getting McGrady to do all the things he seems to dislike about the system : cutting, moving without the ball, screens for other people, catch and shoot.

I know this is so McGrady can just camp out all lazily at the 3 point line not exerting as much effort, but with McGrady its dribbler/scorer/passer/pick & roll or nothing.

If Kobe declined to 50% the player he is, I dont think he'd turn into a Reggie Miller type player to stay involved

He doesn't shoot that well, especially the last two seasons, most games he is around 30%. That's Rafer territory.
