No, we are mad because RA doesnt put our team in the best positions to win most of these decisive games, RA needs a player to coach off of, which he doesnt have, We have enough talent to be a 8th seed team this year and use our tools to make some moves during the offseason, but we need a coach who is willing to take risk as well as understand how to maneuver the rotation

Great comment, we are either building a championship team or nothing. We don't care about playoffs, we care about getting to the NBA FINALS and these stat players that Morey keeps assemblying will not get us where we want.

Without tough low post defense and rebounding, we will never get there. Robert Horry was better than all of our front court players currently. Scola, Miller, and Hill have the worst post defense we've seen in a long time.

Much talk? Do you mean fan chatter? Fan chatter is nonsense. Idiots on these forums think because they've played 2k11 or have some stats knowledge that they can run a team. RA is good at what he does. I guarantee you, if you handed this team over to someone like Phil Jackson we would have the same record if not worse. Coaching is not the problem here.

Rick is a good coach but not a good enough coach this team. He will never take us to a championship even if we have a championship caliber team because he doesnt know how to adjust during the game. He comes out with a strategy and sticks to it no matter what is actual happening in the game. We would always lose in a 7 game serious with a Laker/San Antonio/Orlando/Miami type team with a coach that isnt good at making in-game adjustments

That is definitely wrong, Rick adelman has cost us a number of games this season. RA is good at what he does, and only what he does, which is run the offense. Maybe we should blame the assistant coaches then, but RA does not make the proper adjustments when the offense isnt running or the defense is slacking. He just sticks to the gameplan until the game is out of reach, then he tries to shake things up. But by then it is alwaz too late

Ya... I'd like to see anyone coach in this league win the games Rick has with the players he has. One game does not make Rick a bad or a good coach, but strictly looking at his record, with all the injuries, roster changes, and new faces he's done a damn good job. There's a reason why he is a coach, and not a single person on these forums has been an NBA coach. He makes the big bucks for a reason.

Spoken from a basketball player who has seen nearly every Rockets game for the past 10 years, it seems that you must have an infatuation with 2k11, are you one of the fans you speak about

Rick adelman is too stubborn to play his young players, and for some damn reason he wants to play two 30 year olds the whole 2nd half and overtime without switching it up.

Rick adelman said PP is one of the best team defenders yet he doesn't play him once in the 2nd half when the jazz come stormin back....and don't give me some crap sayin we need scola's offense b/c last night all he did was go down on the left block and ONLY use his right handed scoop.

Then we have miller out there missing open shots...while the night before PP went 6-6 shooting all jump shots

Yes this is only one game but I have noticed Rick's stupidity in many games this season. Yes he WAS a great coach.... Not anymore

Can't believe people are suggesting larry brown. The guy is a better coach than Phil jaxxon, in my opinion, but he has issues. He is a nomad.

Rick indeed is the perfect coach, but sometimes you have to wonder, if he still wants to be out there. This is not what he signed up for.

With that in mind, I would love any old rocket to carry on the legacy. Coach Mario elie, coach sam? Assistant coach horry? :)

I'd look for current assistant coaches, but preferibly guys with also head-coach experience at this or a different level. Bill Lambeer, Dwayne Casey, Reggie Theus...

Thank you Steve, I was starting to feel like I was the only person on here who sees that. RA is the only so called "Great" Coach who will take a bench player out of a game, even though he is perfect from the field and playing adequate defense, just because his minuets are up, (PP vs Orl) Also in the Orl game, Scola scored 14 first half points and finished the game with 14 points, yet he still played 15 second half mins. During those 15 second half minuets, Brandon Bass ate him alive from the mid-range in the paint, What type of great coach does not recognize that Brandon is to physical for Luis during these particular minuets, and also recognize that my rookie has gone perfect from the line in the first half, Instead our "Great" coach makes no adjustments, gives up 17 unanswered points, then finally calls a time-out to come back with the same line-up, To make things even worst, while Orl was on its 17-0 run our players on the court were beginning to get so frustrated they began giving up on plays. Anyone who believes that is great coaching should watch the games in the childrens section and these the forums to the big boys

Here's two facts to aid in this discussion:

    1) Rick Adelman needs great players to have a great team.

    2) Every single coach in the NBA needs great players to have a great team.

Firing Rick Adelman would be a giant mistake. The Rockets are losing, true, but they are also void of any major talent. What exactly did you expect?

Here's an idea: maybe we can fire Adelman, then replace him with Eric Musselman! No? How about Reggie Theus! No? How about Paul Westphal!

Good/great coaches don't grow on trees. We have one. Let's not run him off because the team struggles when it lacks the talent to legitimately compete. We were lucky to land Adelman after firing a great coach in Jeff Van Gundy. I'm tired of firing these HOF coaches every four years.. and bringing in guys with no head coaching experience would be even worse -- though it would appease the PRO-tanking crowd.

Lawrance Frank would be cool. I dunno, but I can see Scott Brooks taking over when his con contract is over. In the mean time let Frank warm up theb sit.

Im not saying Fire Fire, Im just saying the seat is getting hot, and when a team blows this many leads you cannot completely blame that on the personnel. How do you think was the better coach for the Utah Game, because it sure wasnt Adleman, When you dont have a superstar on your roster your coach has to be the superstar.
