Taking about the point on players like Ariza and Terry - Ariza has been the utmost disgraceful acquisition for this team - he takes the most ill-advised shots at the worst time, in addition to also playing only on the nights he wants to (similar to other Rockets, which could be fine once in a while, but unfortunately a lot of the Rockets players take the night off at the same time, like in Game 1).

Terry has been a very good player, hitting clutch 3's all season long.

Players like Josh (who can play well when he is focused), Brewer, and Terry
have been very good role players.

For this team to go deeper into the playoffs I agree that they need better shooters, especially if they are committed to shooting a lot of 3-pointers.
I also have to add - this team does not use Howard enough. He could be a very very very good start to an inside-outside game, it is just unfortunate that he is not used this way.

Based on what I have seen so far, realistically, Clippers will take this series in 6.

We are about to go into LAC and play these guys on their home turf with our ragtag offense and spotty defense along with shaky heart. Not going to cut it. They win the next two and we take Game 5. Clips will go home to win in 6.

If I were the clips I'd suit Paul up but not play him in game 3.

Paul will play game 3 and 4 for the Clips: 100% sure. That last moment as the teams were walking off the court, Doc had CP3 next to him and was seemingly telling him..be ready to go game 3...

Clippers lost 2 of their first 3 at Staples last series with a healthy Paul and Rockets are a good road team.

It ain't exactly Boston Garden 1984.

My realistic view after 2 games, the clippers do a GREAT job of running us off the 3 pt line making us drive. The sad part is we don't have strong handlers or rim finishers outside of Dwight. That makes for easy pickings for Jordan at the rim and their long defenders with busy hands.

We're going to have to figure out a way to get clean looks from distance because so far it's not good. Clippers have basically removed one of our biggest weapons, we're playing with 1 arm tied behind our backs right now.

Doc tonight after Game 2: “This injury … I’ve had it. And probably the reason I’m so cautious is because I played one game and did it again. And I felt great. And that’s what’s so scary.”

That's a pretty clear indicator that Doc won't play CP3 until he's sure the hamstring has healed, or he feels backed against a wall. You can imagine Doc suiting him up, as Sweet Lou said, but not putting him in the game unless the Clips are down late.

Warriors are a better 3pt shooting team and they will have trouble playing this team.

One thing we learned from this game. you put Howard on Griffin..... because Griffin is having his way with TJones and JSmith.

Smart move by McHale putting Howard to stop Griffin, even with the foul trouble. it worked, the tide turned.

Yea this win wasn't exactly convincing to me that we can win a game on their home floor. Obviously it's possible, but we'll have to actually knock down some threes, and play hard defensively the majority of the game.

both series are at 1 - 1 .... nothing is even close to determined... so many things could happen...

CP3 might not even be able to go at all in this series and if he does, he has a very very good chance of re-injuring himself with the type of injury he has...

So, Will, you do realize your big drama that got so many hits, and Clutch referenced, hinges on whether Paul plays Friday...two days from now.

I also realize you are absolutely correct that we need a leader on the court. I do believe 75% of your take. But I would like you to recant 25% of it. About injuries. I think you overexaggerated that.

Many of us who have had hamstring injuries in HS and College level sports do not think 2 days will make a big difference.

Heres to hoping you are wrong? Sorry for saying that Will, but I am so against your theory, I can't help but talk.

A win is a win, but I don't see how anyone can be happy about the way this team has played two games into this series. The Rockets basically had a trip to the WCF gift-wrapped for them and it looks like they're going to waste this golden opportunity, imo of course, smh. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

All the negativity in here is so depressing. Imagine if this is how our players think?

In all 4 series, everybody is tied 1-1 which means all the higher seeded teams lost HCA and yet the Rockets are the ONLY sucky team.

How can we expect our team to fight till the end if us fans already have given up on them after game 1 or 2?

I hope I'm wrong, too. But I have to weigh your opinion against Doc Rivers' statements about his own hamstring, and how he's thinking about Paul's hamstring. Doc just held Paul out of Game 2, as I said he would. And after the game, when Doc was asked about how soon he would play Paul, he told the media: “This injury … I’ve had it. And probably the reason I’m so cautious is because I played one game and did it again. And I felt great. And that’s what’s so scary.”

So it's not my theory. It's Doc's. Clearly, he's worried about aggravating the injury, and he believes that 2 days do make a difference, or he would have played Paul in Game 2. And maybe he'll decide on Friday that Paul still needs another 2 days. The only question is how many of these 2-day increments Paul needs before he can play effectively (or, in Doc's mind, safely) on that leg.

You're free to disagree with Doc, of course. But since he's the one who knows about this kind of injury as an NBA player, and since he's the one who actually has information about the player involved, I'm inclined to go with his judgment.

Doc said" If he could play, he would play." So if you believe Doc, he didn't hold out Paul. Paul was too injured to play.

He was actually saying that he wouldn't hold him out for "extra rest" that as soon as he was ready to go, he would go. "ready to go" doesn't just mean that he physically can go though, it means he can go without a significant risk of re injuring the leg.
