Props for his off the court contributions.

I do miss him on the court too :\

I really want to see him in Rocket Red. I do remember more good than bad with the guy. I must be far too forgiving compared to most of the BBS here.

good post. people can criticize/dislike tracy THE PLAYER, but when hatred comes through your posts in regards to tracy, something's wrong.

this dude is a philanthropist, a great NBA/human citizen...

I have never disliked TMac I just don't want him to play for the Rockets anymore. He did the best he could here but enough is enough. I am glad to hear he is making his time he spent in Africa mean something to him. Good Luck TMac in all your work in providing relief for Dafur.

You are so right. Whether or not I want him gone makes no difference in what he is doing charity wise. Mac is making a big difference and to be honest, for me, it is very inspiring. Great thread, it really makes me appreciate where I am, what I have and kicks me in the ass to want to start back up with Star of Hope. So kudos Mac, for this I give you mad respect

That is the only way he can be mentioned with Lebron, Kobe, and DWade. TMac should pay his team mates for getting him past the first round of playoffs. Just to be sayin..

Yep and if I had a millionaires paycheck you can bet I'd be donating a portion of it somewhere else. For Tracys part though, he could just blow it on more terribly customized, fugly cars. How many other players are donaing to charities instead of bragging that they own the fastest car in the NBA (Gortat)?

Yeah. And the next time you miss work with a legitimate illness or reason you should pay your coworkers for doing the job you are all paid to do while you are out. :p

His charity work is great, but that doesn't mean he should be given a pass for the way he's spit on this organization by rolling over and quitting so many times, especially considering how much money he's being paid.

What hes doing is bigger than basketball, and no matter what you think of him you have to respect him for that. Hes doing something that he doesn't have to do how many other basketball players are doing this same thing?

This thread isn't about Tracy the player. I swear if someone one said Tracy was a great father I bet people like you would say he doesn't get paid to be a father he still suck at being a basketball player.

    Won't last.

McGrady could discover a cure for AIDS and people here would still hate him. Because he couldn't play basketball for one season.

Sad.....when somebody's charitable works is ignored simply because people are mad that he can't but a leather ball in a metal rim.

    SMH

No one said anything about giving him a pass...The point of this thread is to appreciate the contributions he is making off the court regardless of how much anyone hates him as a player, they should not be selfish enough to take the attributes they hate in him as a player and criticize him negatively when trying to acknowledge the good he is trying to do in this world.
I am not specifically pointing this reply at you AntiSonic, so I do not want you to be offended by this post. But comments like the one that Yaozza makes, are in my mind, idiotic and selfish in its own right.

Someone pointed out the person "Ralph" from Feigan's blog, comments like the one he made are just plain ignorant.

Your right....I'd say the plight of those in Darfur is worth a hell of alot more than a basketball game.

The NBA, as a whole, should be doing more to help. Instead of quitting on its humanitarian obligation.

    NBA cares........my ***
