oh and yao better watch out with that whole passing thing. you start liking to pass too much to your teammates, and people will start getting all over you like garnett for not being enough of a ball hog and taking over. oh, and if you're steve and all people want you to do is pass more, and you start doing that in the 2nd half of the season, but the team starts losing more, then people will be pissed that you're the franchise player and didn't start taking over more. so be careful yao, passing too much can be dangerous to your reputation.

good interview. I especially like this part.

Yao Ming
To me, a call has already been made, the game is not finished, and we need to continue to play.

Someone at the Smeggy pickup game want to 'splain this to Behad. :D

    indeed.

i just don't like when people ask for one thing, then when they get it and it doesn't work out, they ask for what they had before and are all pissed off at steve for it. i also don't like how yao gets all this love from talking. it's just words. whenever steve says a good thing like this in an interview, people say well that's great, but lets see him actually do it. yao says it, and it's already happened and he is loved. it's like when homer gave bart a dollar for saying he was going to take up smoking and then quit. yao hasn't really made anyone better yet. at least certainly no more than steve's 6 assists a game made people better by getting them open shots. maybe he will, but lets try to not rip our best player just based on pretty words yao wrote.

A bit "politically correct," but Yao Ming is just nothing but CLASS. Yao Ming, thank you for being a bright light in an otherwise dismal season.

the reality is that #3 does not make his teammates better, despite his well intentioned efforts. that's ok, though. we're fortunate enough to have a real franchise player that can do it. i mean, seriously, do you really think that #3 would think this way?

besides, given his natural scoring ability, i'll be very happy to watch #3 playing shooting guard next year.

That sounds exactly like something an extremely talented, very immature player would say.
