But reverse racism does exist. I have seen racism by any race against any race. Why do you not accept that? Why does a white majority have more hate than the black minority? If it's because there are more of us, then okay. We will by default have more. I would think that the oppressed group (any group, not just blacks) would have more hatred for the sole reason that they are/were oppressed and in the minority, but I'm not saying that's the case. Let me repeat, I am not saying this is the case.
I'm not trying to be the bad guy.

I am not trying to justify racism by any means. I think more racism can be created by people not recognizing reverse discrimination. I don't think it's fair that there can be black fraternities and soroities and not white ones. If they can have an exclusive group that celebrates their race and heritage, why can't we? Why would a white sorority automatically be about hatred and discrimination towards blacks or other minorities instead of something god?

All human beings have the ability to hate. Hate against a race is hate against a race no matter who it is. And racism is wrong, but it is not one sided.

I would like to keep this civil, as it has been for the last few threads, if you want to continue down this path. I am sorry that it has turned and I guess part of it is my fault and I am sorry.

I never thought I'd be typing these words but here goes: I think you're all coming down a little hard on Princess about this one.

Granted, she's made some inflammatory posts in race-related threads, but in this case I don't think she's saying anything that I haven't already heard LOTS of guys say in my life. Most men do have preferences when it comes to a woman's appearance and sometimes skin color plays into it, just like hair color, eye color, etc...

Here's the rub: If a guy says he doesn't find most black women attractive because they're just not his type physically, then I'd say he was just expressing his preference. If a guy says he doesn't find black women attractive because they're not as intelligent or some other non-physical characteristic, then there's a good chance he's racist.

As a brunette, I know there are men who are not attracted to me because they prefer blondes. I accept that. As someone who is 5'3", I know there are men that are not attracted to me because they prefer taller women. I accept that too. And as a B-cup, I know that DaDakota will not be attracted to me because he likes "big t***." I just pity that, but whatever. :)

The point is, ALL of us have preferences when it comes to physical features and sometimes skin color is one of them. That in and of itself doesn't make someone racist, it just makes them human.

Of course I'm a racist, didn't you read my post regarding my Hate Whitey Association? Now accepting members... meet at Denny's every Tuesday and Thursday.

I know lots of white people. I went to school all my life at predominantly white schools and I met plenty of racists along the way. You may believe they've all mostly disappeared but I can attest to you first hand that they've not.

You know it's just amazing how white people don't know any racists but people of color do. I wonder how that works huh treeman? I guess you missed my article on A&M and the state of race relations on that campus after that racist cartoon was published. I would have posted the picture of the Confederate flag sitting in someone's dorm room window but I couldn't find the same picture online that was in the paper. That student probably wasn't racist though he was just proud of his "southern heritage".

I haven't said anything resembling the statement that only white people are racist but I totally refuse to accept the implication by Princess that white racism equals black racism or that black racism absolves white racism. Many of her posts portray this idea with some completely obscure example showing that in her experience and in her opinion some black people are racist too. Big f'n deal. When black people hold the seats of power in this country and use it to economically and politically subjugate whites then maybe you'll have something to complain about. Until then I'm prepared to help Princess with her application to the black sorority of her choice.

    MRS JB,

I don't care what size boobs women have, I was just telling a joke to lighten the mood a bit, and to show that it is just a preference.

I like all kinds of women, but I LOVE only one !!

    My wife.

What gets me is that it sucks that people think that they can only be attracted to someone because of their looks. I've known many good looking women that I wouldn't want a thing to do with (as if they'd give me the time of day anyway, but that's not important). What matters to me is that the girl has a great personality, is smart, and has a great sense of humor. It's amazing how much more beautiful a woman becomes physically when they're so attractive mentally.

Of course, I have a hottie in both aspects. :D

I knew it would happen. It was only a matter of time! Mwah ha ha ha ha! ;)

I'm only about 5'4" myself and also a brunette. Scary isn't it!

    Anway, thanks for the support.

I don't want to go to a black sorority. I want a white sorority that is not called discriminatory or racist. The point I was making, and the point that you missed was that white people are discriminated against too. I don't think you will ever admit that.

And *if* you honestly want to see black people in seats of power oppressing white people, then I would say you are a racist.

And I have NEVER said white racism equals black racism. I said that hate is hate. No one should hate and all racism is bad. You say white people hate black people for whatever reason. Well, you know what? Some black people hate some white people too because of slavery and oppression and bitterness (because as far as I know, all slaveholders are dead and we are not allowed to oppress by law, although I know it happens, I don't think it's the norm). And this hatred by some black people is only furthering to fuel more racism towards some blacks. It's not a justification. It's the truth. Racism by anyone is simply bad. The fact that racism towards black people is considered *worse* only fans the fire. I honestly think it's horrible. I would like to see it all end. But it's a never ending cycle. Every time one side gets mad, the other side gets mad because they're mad.

And I do know racists and I AM white. I could name many off the top of my head. Some are people I've known through school. Some are public figures. It doesn't matter if I give you names though because you would tell me I'm wrong.

I don't think any black person alive today was alive during slavery. And no one alive today was a slaveholder. Why do they hate us? For what our ancestors did? My ancestors weren't even here until about 1880. But I'm white so I'm evil. If anything, YOU are trying to justify racism against white people. And that is one reason that racism continues to this day.

That's what people say. I do know that some argue that looks are what first attracts us to a person. We generally see someone before we talk to them.

The internet has done wonders with this though. People are getting married who have never seen each other before! :)

In all honesty, I don't personally. I would like one to be able to exist, but I would probably not join. I think it is unfair that blacks can have a sorority and whites cannot have one. Whites would be discriminating if we did. However, the blacks are not. That was my main point.

Have you ever applied to be in a "black" sorority? Have you ever seen a non-black sorority? In the more popular sororties (at least at SWT, Kappa, Chi Omega, Tri Delts, Zetas), I don't remember ever seeing any Afrrican-Americans. Same goes for the fraternities that weren't "black" ones. Me thinks it's an unwritten rule for both. You don't want us, so we don't want you.

I didn't miss your point about black sororities I was simply showing how dumb it was. I know you don't want to go to a black sorority, you just want to complain and b**** about reverse racism that doesn't exist in your quest to join a black sorority. You're not being discriminated against but please keep b****ing for b****ing's sake.

You know it's amazing to me how from my previous post you could seriously derive that I want for black people to subjugate white people. That's a real puzzler but not altogether inconsistent with your posts on the national problem that is reverse racism and how everyone hates whitey.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Princess you should write a paper on how black racism is what's fueling white racism. LMAO

Why is it that it's unfair for the Citadel to exclude women? Why is it unfair for a country club to exclude women? Can't women just go build their own country club? Guys just want to bond without women around. I mean what's wrong with that? While we're excluding women let's just exclude minorities too. Before you know it we're back in the 1940's.

I'm still trying to keep this civil. Please work with me.

About the sorority issue, it is not flat out dumb. If you can't see significance, that's sad. They can CALL their sorority an African-American sorority, but we can't call one a white sorority. The NAACP is a black organization giving help and money to blacks. Why do blacks get special treatment? White people are not allowed to do anything only for white people. You want to be equal but in some cases, it SEEMS that you get better than equal. I'm not making an accusation, just an oberservation. I really want to know why this is okay. I want to know how this is fair.

You missed the pointagain. ALL RACISM IS FUELING ALL RACISM. The ignorance and lack of understanding and acceptance of one fuels the other. Everyone, not just whites (as you claim) and not just blacks (as you *think* I claim), but everyone who is racist is further fueling racism. I was not putting it solely on one race.

And I did not say you wanted oppression. I said "IF" you truly believed what you wrote. But I never said you wanted anything. I do believe there is a difference.

I refuse to accept that the only way whites will know racism is by harm and oppression against us by blacks. You are using the term too strictly. Racism is discrimination and action against a person based on race. It is not about history and oppression. It is about HATE. Racism is based on hate of a race. It doesn't matter what race the hater is from, racism is about hate of a race. Take the Nazi's for example. We had a group of people come talk to us in middle school who were Holocaust survivors and descendants. The oldest women said they will hate Germans until the day they die. I think they have a very good reason to hate. I think they're aiming at the wrong people though. Not all German's were Nazi's. I have distant relatives in Germany that were not Nazi's. And I remember this so vividly because I could not fathom how someone could hate all of one people because of something bad. And what was worse was that I belonged to those people she hated. Like I said, today, I think she had good reason to hate. Probably the best reason ever seen. But I think she was wrong to hate all German's because of a few. But it also proves that the oppressed can hate (just as the some blacks can and do hate).

The black people in America today did not go through slavery and not all lived during segregation (and I imagine the numbers are getting smaller). I understand hate. I understand why white people do and did hate. I understand why black people might hate. But I did nothing. My parents and their parents and their parents did NOTHING (and even a few generations back). My mom never even experienced segregation herself.

What I really want to know is why can you justify black hate? Why can't you see both sides or why won't you see both sides?

Sex discrimination continues today. There are institutions that exclude based on sex. But the other sex is allowed in most cases to form their own group.

White people are not allowed to do anything that only involves white people because that is seen as discrimination and racism.

Black people are allowed to do things that only involve their race and it's not discriminatory and it's not racism.

I'm not saying a black sorority is wrong or bad. The only thing wrong with it is that the exact same club with only white people in it would be wrong.

Black sororities are fine with me. I just think white sororities should be allowed too.
