I actually have thought about this before and with Alston's ball handling abilities combined with Francis's driving ability to get to the rim would be a pretty good backcourt. It would certainly be better than that Marbury/Francis fiasco they had in New York where they both took away from each other's stats because they are the same type of player.

Andre Miller can't shoot the 3. He's great at running the offense, but with our current cast the 3 is often available for the point. Do we want another guy that can't shoot it?

he cant shoot the 3 but he sure can shoot that mid range jumper. other pretty good players prefer the mid range J over the 3 (i.e. wade, parker, cassel). overall he's an upgrade over rafer and actually will demand respect from other point guards in the west unlike rafer.

Although he is a good point guard, he's another PG who can't shoot the 3. What happens when he gets stuck with a T-Mac gift that leaves him wide open in the perimeter? Clank, just like Rafer.

I'd love Andre Miller. I'd be happy with Jamal Tinsley. Damn, any real NBA player.

If coach can't figure out how to use a real point and avoid his weakness at 3's, coach should get the boot. It's no secret Yao and Tmac are best in the pick and roll. A real point like Miller would be great setting that table and working the middle of the weakside triangle, with Battier in the corner and Scola in the post.

I´ve already said that my pick for this team is Calderon, we can go for other cheap PG that would do wonders on our system Arroyo for example, his skills fit this system perfectly but he is a defense liability.

If i want to make a trade now, I think our best option is try to get Jason Williams form Miami on a trade for Alston and James.

Miami will be interested as they need to have another backup because Wade is Injury prone and we can have a better shooter and passer than our both outgoing PG.

Same here dude. Calderon is a better shooter than Miller, stronger driver, and more gutsy. Vision wise, they are comparable. Plus, Calderon has successful experience with Scola already.

Miller is a good point guard but I don't think he's someone we should go after. We've got a great play-maker in T-Mac. We need reliability, with an offensive skill-set.

whats up Aaron Brooks been up to?

Didn't he scorch it up in the Summer League?

Is he a point? Even he can play the point, a rookie is probably not the answer. However - I was thinking his quickness may provide a change of pace when the offense goes through one of its funks.

I was thinking that his speed may have helped us last nite defending Harris.

You need somone to attack the basket at the end of games to draw a foul and go to the line to keep the pressure on. There was none of that just jump shots and you take your best defender out of the game in Hayes. Adelman was completely out coached again by the little general. What is it with James & Raphers shot selection? Seems to me the players don't know their roles with the team. Luther Head looks lost..Rapher takes shots with no one under the basket...Mike James acts like he is the savior...and we have the biggest player in the league and what do we do post him at the free throw line? We have a Johnny Drama with his pretty white sleeve jacking three's. The Rockets will never win a championship with T-Jack!

    Just give brooks a chance!!

between him and Mike James that should be enough.I'm pretty sure teams would rather leave rafer open then brooks
