    He said in that Internet chat the other day that he has not started his weight lifting program yet. I'm sure he is doing normal lifting but he probably won't do any heavy lifting until the season is over.

    He mentioned that he lost several pounds after he first arrived but has since gained back some weight..that could be the difference you notice.

    Bateer's hands look very small in that pic ?

    i don't think SA would part ways with Bateer...

    Robinson is retiring and Bateer showed some promise in the World Championships..

    Yes, that's one of the biggest problem of bateer.
    He would be much better with larger hands: he has a decent perimeter shoot , he has very good rebound, he has strong body ......... but he doesn't have large hands
