Shut up and go away Toast, nobody asked you. Actually, I don't have anything against fusion food itself as much as people that end up running around thinking lo mein curry (ok, I made that up) is authentic Chinese food or something. lol.
But rarely do you get Americans to try authentic Chinese food and like it. I remember going to dimsum with a mixed group of friends, when the chicken feet got on the table, almost all the asians grabbed for it at the same time and all the non asians just stared with eyes wide open.
Not really, the wife would be working on London Wall and I will be a few miles west of that, so easy to get to from anywhere via the underground. Just whatever closet we can find that would not be too expensive. Any suggestions?
Oh Yeeeeah, theres nothing like 8 pints of Guinness and a chicken vindaloo to get the system moving! Put the toilet roll in the freezer!!!
i think london restaurants are quite good...the food is usually incredible, although the service is generally terrible... but it's quite clear that they consistently have some of the top-rated restaurants in the world...here's one survey showing they have 9 of the world's top 50: http://www.worldpress.org/Europe/1920.cfm
Good thing it is lunch time. Reading this type of thread can be a real b**** late in the afternoon. Can't think of an Indian restaurant downtown. (An opportunity?), but I think it will have to be something spicy after this thread. I though the Asian/ Indian food was good in London. Of course you always do better if you know where to go. I was only there for a few days so it was a good break from the Italian, Geman and the French snacks, (couldn't afford real French food).
