I would rather have someone fail before getting appointed than fail on the job

So he should lower his standards?

Many other presidents have had lower standards and had problems vetting appointments. Few people are perfect and what we are seeing now is that strainer is that much tighter so more problems are being found in the vetting process.

In this instance, the nominee told the administration of the tax issues before being nominated.

The administration saw the facts of the case (failure to ask for more than $30K in REFUNDS) and knew that it was a non-issue.

But, as we all know, the facts have a well known liberal bias.

...and then ignoring the results. For goodness sakes, our Treasury Secretary cheated on his taxes. What good is vetting if you ignore the results? Seriously, the same party that trotted out John Edwards as a Presidential candidate should not be lecturing people on vetting.

Obama is clearly clueless. It's only a matter of time before the liberal media's kid glove treatment wears off and he's seen for the clueless clown he is.

This comment clearly shows what kind of maroon you are. Obama has shown intelligence, class, and gravitas at every turn while the wingnut noise machine has done nothing but assure their own irrelevance with their porcine squeals.

    WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

You don't know the meaning of gravitas if you think Obama has it. A political noob with a no-accomplishment resume isn't exactly oozing gravitas. Words read off a teleprompter don't give you gravitas -- accomplishments and experience do -- he has neither.

choking on a pretzel and playing dress up as a fighter pilot is gravitas!

Once again, you show your inability to comprehend the written word. If you would like to continue discussing this subject, you must now show, using the definition I have provided for you, how our President has shown anything but gravitas with regards to any of the serious matters he is dealing with.

IOW, put up or shut up.

On keeping with the theme of vague attacks on people that have little or nothing to do with the topic at hand and are completely unsubstantiated by any source (since they pretty much represent the first verbal junk that sprouts from someone's mind), people with over 1000 friends on Facebook have been shown to be socially insecure and perhaps insignificant.

The only thought I have on this issue is that Ms. Marshall must be very wealthy. If the Gov't had 37,000 dollars of my money, I would know about it, and I would want it today.
