I always advice not fighting unless you are facing direct and immediate physical harm. So don't fight the guy unless its to the point he's swinging at you. That said this guy has already backed down from you once and is probably already afraid of you all you need to do is push that psychological edge. Next time he or his buddies start talking trash to you just hold your ground and be calm. I've found that to be much more unnerving than getting into someone's face. Fights like this generally are about respect and proving yourself. Psychology plays a huge role in trying to cower your opponent by puffing your chest out and putting on a display of toughness. Think about gorillas banging their chest and throwing leaves. If you can sit there calmly holding your ground that will put doubt in their mind. To make it work though you have be mentally prepared to fight because it is hard to fake this sort of thing. This doesn't mean seek out the fight its just that incase they escalate it you're prepared to respond. This not only calms your mind but allows you to mentally take control of the situation. What will likely happen is he will start talking more trash but will start backing up demanding you come at him. Just hold your ground so you don't escalate after awhile he will sit down and not bother you again. He'll tell his buddies you were chicken but in his mind he'll feel he dodged a bullet since you probably would've kicked his @ss. I can't guarentee this always works but I haven't been anything approaching a real fight in years even though I've had a few experiences dealing with drunk and/or belligerant guys recently where this has worked.
Who the hell throws a peanut butter sandwich at someone? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard!!! Reminds me of that Mike Myers movie where the Korean guy throws his shoe.
"...this one kids threw a peanut butter sandwich at me" "...if it comes down to a fight i could take him unless he goes after my eyebrow piercing" __________ I'm seeing some real potential here team...
Seriously, this kinda thing pisses me off SO MUCH. The annoying thing is that it always has to do with the group thing - only reason he challenged you to a fight was cos of his idiot friends encouraging him. I can't count the number of times I've literally had fantasies about kicking some serious ass - of course I don't want to get into legal trouble so I never actually do anything. Definitely don't get into a fight unless they are actually trying to get you... As Anti said, if they are minors and you're over 18 this could bring you big trouble. Why does the bus driver even let them on the bus? I guess he doesn't want them to do anything to him.
