Dude, i'm not trying to pick on you at all but are you even a Rocket fan at all cuz I'm curious to see your dream lineup for the team. You want to trade the entire team, it ain't gonna happen why not go find a team that you can support?

I am a Rocket fan in that I would like to one day see the team win another championship. Someone who has not seen this team on a day to day basis would probably say there is too much talent for this team not to succeed. I had that misguided belief too before I came to the realization that these pieces of the puzzles do not fit together even though the individual pieces may be pretty. I'd rather see the team get a bunch of non-descript pieces that fit together smoothly to make a team that looks good on the court consistently.

Look at the Mavs. They found a core that WORKED WELL together in Steve Nash, Finley, and Nowitzki. Then they started building around those core pieces making sure each additional piece meshed with the core pieces. Rockets win in spite of bad chemistry and not because of good chemistry.

This is why any team that utilizes good teamwork like the Mavs, Grizzlies, and Kings exposes this team's weaknesses over and over again.

Ok number one, YM isn't going anywhere.

Number two, the Rockets need a power forward, not a tweener, or a scorer, or a center who plays out of position, but a real god damn power forward.

Number three, I would use the exception, or CM, or both together to get a power forward, and preferably he'd be in his mid 20s with a decent attitude and good work ethic.

Then you would have as your core:

YM (second best center in the game today)
SF (secretly very happy that he no longer must pass to CM)
New Stud Power Forward (Otis Thorpe Clone)

And if this core didn't work, then you would trade SF for a point guard.

This is one of my first so post so please dont flame me if you dont agree with my ideas. I think trading either Steve or Cuttino would be beneficial to Yao. My thinking is that Yao doesnt want to shoot as much because of our guards always wanting to shoot or he doesnt want to seem like he is taking over, even though he should. So trading one of them would open up more shots to Yao. The Results could be similar to the results when the Cavs traded away Ricky Davis to make it Lebrons team. After that trade lebrons numbers went up alot and his play improved alot.

Well, this is a move I would make...

Houston trades: C Kelvin Cato (6.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 1.0 apg in 27.8 minutes)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (3.1 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 11.1 minutes)
SG Cuttino Mobley (15.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.2 apg in 39.5 minutes)
Houston receives: SG Marko Jaric (8.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.4 apg in 28.8 minutes)
SG Predrag Drobnjak (8.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.4 apg in 28.8 minutes)
PF Elton Brand (20.0 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 3.5 apg in 38.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +3.8 ppg, +1.7 rpg, and +3.1 apg.

L.A. Clippers trades: SG Marko Jaric (8.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.4 apg in 28.8 minutes)
SG Predrag Drobnjak (8.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 4.4 apg in 28.8 minutes)
PF Elton Brand (20.0 ppg, 12.2 rpg, 3.5 apg in 38.5 minutes)
L.A. Clippers receives: C Kelvin Cato (6.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 1.0 apg in 44 games)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (3.1 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 31 games)
SG Cuttino Mobley (15.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.2 apg in 45 games)
Change in team outlook: -3.8 ppg, -1.7 rpg, and -3.1 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    ----------------------

I don't think they would make this move, though :D.

    Well, duh! ;)
I think most of us here would make that trade. If you can get the Clippers to do it, you're hired!

If you could trade for Shareef Abdur-Rahim, would you do it? And who would you give up to get him?

We have the trade exception, if Les has the guts. We have tradeable parts (especially if you bring in a 3rd team). But would you trade for him? More important, would the team make that move?

I wouldn't hesitate to trade SF for EB, and then trade Cato for a point guard.

I really don't know anything about SAR. What his work ethic or personality is. Whether he wilts in big games, or is a locker room lawyer, or whether he's a stand up guy with a desire to get it done. Stats don't mean everything.

This was funny, but your signature is divisive, offensive and stupid.

Yeah, I can't quite figure that one out either as we've seen the same exact mistakes for the last 4.5 years. At what point does not become predictable?

    TIME TO MAKE A MOVE

This team has been intact for 5+ years now. We blamed the only coach in houston to win 2 championships for coming up short and losing control of the team. Brought in JVG who has a completely different style then Rudy T but the team is no better and the season results seem stunningly similar to last year's. Enough is enough with these mickey mouse moves of trading Norris and stuff like that. It's time to make a major move because this team is obviously not getting any better. My vote is get the most you can Francis before this turns into another Griffin like situation where they can't get any thing for him. Remeber last year they could have had Shareef for Griffin but opted to hold on to him.

Rudy T. is a better coach than the bald little guy.

That's all I have to say now.
